The Two Way Inn is a family-owned establishment and Detroit's oldest bar, offering a unique experience. The bar serves a soup of the day, made by the barmaid's mother, which is a hearty and comforting option. The atmosphere is friendly, with bartenders who are knowledgeable about the history of the place and happy to chat. This cool old dive bar holds spirits within its wooden embrace, from the OG rotary-phone booth to the pool table. It’s not for the pinkie-in-the-air or wine drinker type but an absolute must for the authentic dive and historic bar connoisseur. Stroh’s beer is very inexpensive, and the service is awesome. Despite being located in a seedy neighborhood, the Two Way Inn is a gem worth visiting. Note that the hours of operation are clearly listed, and it's best to arrive during open hours.
