Best beer selection in Detroit. My go-to for interesting beers.

Exceptional location with a wide variety of drinks. We come from windsor (Canada) just for this place. The best part for us is that it's dog friendly.They are receptive to ordering food from outside and bringing it in which I admire.And best of all, you can break up a six back if you just want a single beer! Love it, can't wait to come back

This has become a regular stop for us any time we're in Detroit. Great beer selection on tap, really nice bourbon and whiskey selection including a unique collection of Japanese whiskey. Well informed, very friendly bar tenders. Store is stocked with hard to find options in the craft beer world. Often have food trucks if you're hungry. We always try leave early for events in Detroit just so we have time to stop and get a drink here.

If you like beer, you'll live this place. They also have this whisky sour drink that is the best. I only knocked off 1 star due to there being no food at this place (aside from bagged chips,pretzels). Think of it as a beer store with cool bartenders to serve you.

I can't get mad at the store, but I do feel discouraged to go back. Here's a question that needs to be resolved across the board with all the employees.When I went there one time, there was a friendly girl working there who was super helpful, and she related to me that if I wanted to get like one beer out of a four-pack, they had no problem opening them and they would just sell off the other beers as singles. So I got myself a beer out of a four pack, also bought another six pack to go with it. Awesome!Maybe a week or so later I decided to stop back in the store and do the same thing. Grabbed a six-pack, and also grabbed a four pack that I only wanted one of the beers out of and took it up to the counter and it was a different guy who was and I explained to him that I only wanted one of the beers out of the 4 pack, and he kind of gave me stink eye and said that they don't usually like to do this but he'll do it this one time.So, I basically need to figure out if I'm going to go back in here and buy beer, if they don't have one of the tall boys of the single beer that other stores have, and I can get one out of a 4-pack, that's cool, but then if I go in another time and someone gives me a hard time about it it's just going to make me not want to go back out of confusion.So what's the consensus store owner/manager? If I want to grab a beer out of a closed case is that cool or is that a problem?
