That's some heart palpitation coffee right there. But the barista was so chill lol. In fact, the whole cafe is hella chill, kinda quiet, people working, couples on dates. It's a large comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Nice place, we'll be back

My favorite coffee roaster in the entire metropolitan Detroit area, and I believe they are one of the best coffee roasters in the US. They genuinely care about the craft of roasting and the art of coffee.
I love the espresso drink ordering system they have (espresso + different sizes of milk or oat milk). I usually order 8oz for there and drip to go.
They typically offer two drip options, both of which are of exceptionally high-quality, single-origin coffee. Recently, they have had some fermented or anaerobic options, and they do it just right. Sometimes, fermented beans can be too funky for me, but when roasted just right (not too light), they are light, yet without glassy flavors.
Pastries are also fruity and excellent. Pear upside-down and almond pies are always fantastic.
I loved their old location near Michigan Central, but their new location in the East Market is even better and more beautiful

Anthology has always had a special place in our hearts! We love the authenticity of the beans and products. Easily the best cup of coffee in Detroit. And the gluten free treats - what a luxury!

Wonderful place for my espresso ... the best so far. This spot is very quaint you can actually go in do your paperwork study for finals hell even read a book. It low key and well worth the vist... they roast their own beans for crying out loud!! The aroma is magnificent... stop in order and have a seat you will not regret... try the pastry while you at it.

I love caffeine and coffee and I'm learning about espresso. I received a generous gift of an assisted espresso machine for Father's Day and knew nothing. The barista at Anthology took the time to educate me about making espresso and choosing beans for it. Over the course of two visits, several taste tests and lots of espresso, they helped me feel comfortable that I was making a decent cup at home.
The atmosphere was welcoming and I never felt out of place. Service was excellent. I left the store knowing more than when I walked in and an armful of wonderful, fresh roasted beans.

Great food and coffee with even better service and atmosphere to match! Wonderful and friendly staff who are willing to help and services you as the customer. They have small but unique menu options that are sure to please any coffee lover. Can't forget to mention how good their bakery options are as well. If you're ever nearby, check them out.

Not a bad spot . Enjoyed the coffee and that they have oat milk as an option . Staff was pleasant. Atmosphere was good a bit loud but that has to do with the building set up. Also they had chocolate chip banana bread. Overall good experience would definitely recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Oat milk for vegan option

Iced coffee was disgusting. And they have a very small menu. And no flavors. And it was like $4.
