We had an outstanding time. It was not crowded, our service was awesome, and the food. . . It was DIVINE. We had Kumuhana (chicken) and Samaki (fish). The meat was flavorful and tender. The sides (corn salad, coconut, and spiced rice, and plantains) were perfect
Great food! The plantains were expectedly good. Great beef and chicken. Would try the lamb next time
Great food and service. this was our first time here . Each dish we ordered was so tasty and was so thoughtfully prepared. The Goat shank was so tender melted in your mouth. The rice .. plantain .. fish.. eggplant dish were amazing too. The spices used .. everything about each dish was delicious. The dessert Coconut mango and the chocolate dessert yummmm Our waitress was very attentive and provided great service . We will go back and recommend this place highly.
The food, ambience and the staff is great and I'd have given 5 stars. And I'll be back for sure because I'm going to chalk this incident as a one-off and won't hold it against the restaurant. The only reason I'm not completely satisfied with my experience was that I was told one of the dishes I ordered was out and then I saw 2 other guests coming after me order it and get it. I'm not sure where the miscommunication happened or if there was a legit reason behind this. But I felt disappointed by the events that infolded. That's all.
The menu at Baobob Fare is varied and has something for every dietary need. Not to mention it's delicious. The service is great and it's a terrific value. We love to bring out of town guests here!
Great flavors and service, with delicious vegetarian options. Hot hibiscus tea was perfect for a cold day. Very flavorful on its own, but even better with their homemade hot sauce!
Interested to try Burundian food. Food was interesting and good. Service just ok. Ambiance also just ok.
One of my favorite new restaurants that qualifies for the chase dining credits. Every dish is delicious and reasonably priced for the large portions you receive. The samosas are loaded with chicken and go well with the sauce provided. If you enjoy spicy make sure to inquire about their habanero sauce it delivers flavor and a kick.
Amazing food and vibes

First time at Baobab Fare and will definitely be back. We ordered the sambusas, mbuzi and nyumbani. The mbuzi was excellent. No knife necessary because the meat was falling off the bone. The nyumbani was a little overdone but still had awesome flavor.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Service was prompt and friendly, and the location and atmosphere were both really great. Lovely building with a laid-back feel. And the food was exceptional. My mom got the intore eggplant stew, which was savory and hearty, and wonderfully prepared. They allowed her to get half-sizes of the 2 rice options (spices pilau and coconut rice) as well as the peanut stewed spinach and the yellow beans, and a generous serving of fried plantains. Everything was so flavorful and hearty. I got the nyumbani beef, which was perfectly tender and so delightful. I also got the pilau and coconut rice to try them both, and I got the peanut stewed spinach and plantains. Everything was instant comfort food - so rich and warm and full of flavor. I also got an African tea, which was Lipton black tea with added spices and frothy milk. My mom got the spiced coffee, which was a wonderful blend of spices and nice strong coffee. We were both too full to get dessert, which was a real shame because they all sounded incredible. I would love to come back and try some more dishes. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a great experience!

My absolute favorite type of food to eat, and the fact that the food is Halal is a great bonus. The staff is great and even the Owners have come out to greet us and check how we like the food. The food is very flavorful and such a burst of culture.

Went to try eat here, staff are rude.
8pm on a Friday and they had a couple tables free but they asked us to wait 5 mins, fine.
after 15 mins of waiting and watching the staff speak and chill between themselves we decided to leave without even getting acknowledged.
