We loved the vibe and the proximity to Little Caesars Arena. It makes it the perfect spot to have dinner before an event.
The place is modern, cool and clean.
Kaiden (apologies if the spelling is wrong) was OUTSTANDING! He was always on top of our water glasses being full and made sure we were never waiting on him.
Drinks were good. We had the Tokidoki and the R.D.R. They do need to add a couple of vodka base cocktails, though. I'm a vodka person, and I couldn't believe they were lacking this.
The Crab Mozzarella sticks are AMAZING, and the Philly Cheeseteak Skewers and the Lobster Buns were GREAT. Don't let the mention of Cheez Whiz on the Philly Cheeseteak steer you away from it. I almost didn't order it, and I'm glad I asked if it was really Cheez Whiz. It's more of a homemade beer cheese spread.
Please know that if you don't like spicy, the lamb ragu and the dumplings are not for you.
The pork dumplings and the Udon were good, too. But the Crab Mozzarella sticks were my absolute favorite.
We would go back.

Had an awesome meal at Basan with friends—no drinks, just pure food coma bliss. Our waitress was spot on, nailing every recommendation like a culinary psychic. Everything we ordered was a hit, and the service was top-notch. Looking forward to my next visit back!

Wow! Wandered into Basan with a friend from out of town and I can say I had a wonderful experience! Atmosphere was very relaxing, chill breezy environment. We chose to sit in the lounge the couches were comfy!
We shared the egg rolls and had the steak & potato dinner, the steak was cooked to perfection! It was also seasoned properly and the chimchurri on the side was flavorful & a nice touch as well. Our waitress was friendly too. I will be coming back asap! :)

Unbelievable! We decided to come to Basan for the Chef Counter and were a little hesitant to because we didn’t know anyone that had been. So glad we took the chance - the experience and food were incredible. Chef Eric has incredible range, from mock sushi to green tea miso carbonara. We got eight incredibly different dishes and every single one was a 10/10 for all four people in our party. The service and portioning were also fantastic, but the food was absolutely unforgettable.

Very attentive staff & great atmosphere and tapas style spot. Seem to be very proactive about / attentive to any allergies. Lobster bun did not impress my group and we preferred the pork belly bun. The squash skewers, tornado potato, ahi tuna poke, and pork dumplings were good but nothing stood out that would bring me back despite the beautiful plating. Tofu donuts were a great way to end the experience.

We went before the red wings game, we didn’t have a reservation but thankfully we were able to get in at the bar. Everything was good. My sister is not a big vegetable person but she loved the Cauliflower. I had the ahi tuna and it was great. I thought i was full until that came out and i cleared the plate. The octopus skewers were good, but nothing special. I would’ve been ok going without. The staff were nice and we enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. The convenience of it being right next to little Caesars arena was nice too.

Who’ve been going down to the Red Wings games for years, and finally stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a chance. It’s a stones throw from Little Caesars Arena, very convenient and very easy to get into and out of if you’re going to a game!
Down the street you could usually find a spot to park, and the parking is free on the street if you can find a place! There is a parking structure right next-door!
There’s usually a 30 minute wait on game day, so call ahead, however today we got a good seat in the bar relatively quick. If you do need to wait, there is a lobby! We just wanted a quick drink or two and a small bite to eat before the game. Before we knew it we were at $90! Quite pricy for what you get!
It’s a cool decor, trendy little joint! Located in the first floor of an apartment/condo complex building . The service was good, they were very attentive, however, it took a long time for us to get our drinks. We got a Makers Mark and Sprite, and Aperol spritz. Those took about 10 minutes to get, and then we ordered an old-fashioned, simple small glass with an ice cube was $26, that took 10+ minutes. It was busy, but not that busy!
We were told they were shareable, so we got a firecracker shrimp bun, and a twice fried chicken bun. Literally just two bites each not enough to share, but they were pretty good and tasty! But if you’re hungry, you’re gonna need more than one, but watch out I think they’re $15 bucks apiece!
Overall, a really cool trendy place with a good atmosphere and good service, but for the price of the food and the serving size, we found it to be quite expensive for our taste. Especially if you’re just going to grab a drink or two before the game, literally we spent $90 on three drinks and two buns!
We will give it another chance for sure!
Parking: There is a paid parking in the structure/garage next-door, I believe it’s shared with the tenants who live in the same building, but you can find parking on the street for free, but during Red Wings game days it’s a little more challenging! But we found parking in about five minutes on the street!

We went for the Valentines tasting menu, so I am speaking only of that experience and the food provided during that event, which may be different to the usual fare. That being said, 3 of the 5 dishes were very salty.
The inital course of oyster duos came with one raw with wasabi lime and one with chili butter. The wasabi lime was fantastic. The chili butter left much to be desired. It used course salt, which lingered a while on tongue, and was unpleasantly reminiscent of sand in the teeth.
The next course, which was over seasoned, was the Oxtail Dumplings, which became nearly inediable with each bite as the salt built and built and built. The bone broth was fantastic, let down only by the main component of the dish, the dumplings.
The lamb loin was overall pleasant. It was only towards the end of eating it that the salt flavor started to overwhelm the dish.
We also ordered two cocktails and a mocktail, all of which were lovely and would gladly visit again just for the drinks.

The food at Basan was very delicious albeit the portions being small. The Wagyu burger was absolutely delicious. The I. Y K. Y. K. drink was lip smacking good. The tofu donut was amazing as well. 😋
There was a slight delay in one of our orders but the restaurant compensated by providing us with a free dessert.

Good food and service, cleanly environment. Nice location near LCA. Would happily return for dinner and drinks
We came here after getting a deal from the Wings as season ticket holders and it did not disappoint.
The atmosphere is sophisticated but not uptight. From the moment we walked in, everyone was super friendly and inviting. Our server Jadine was tremendous every step of the way.
The food is unbelievable. The udon noodles are so full of flavor and the waygu burger is one of the best I've had. Also, don't skip out on the chai ice cream.
We will be back without question. This place deserves all the praise and business.
