I love coming here to study and meet people. I have never seen such a beautiful space before this. Every room has its own unique design and character.

A wonderful cafe that supports a great organization. Food is delish and the environment is very well appointed. Some outdoor seating on a little side porch.

I was invited to an event earlier this week as I’ve never heard of this place before. OMG, the work they do! Aside from that, the home is absolutely stunning. So much old architecture in the detail details. I would love to come back for a cup of coffee and a revisit

Our team had a fabulous experience hosting a wellness themed team off-site. The lower level yoga and wellness space was perfect for our needs, and we got to enjoy delicious coffee and drinks afterwards in the cafe. Thank you so much for hosting our team at BasBlue!

Beautiful atmosphere, good food, good coffee.

A beautiful place with ample space so that people aren’t on top of each other. I had the brown sugar shaken espresso martini as I sat at one of the many seated areas with windows and completed my work for the day. And then I learned that this is a woman owned establishment! I can’t wait to explore some of the classes they offer here as well. I love their mission statement: to be a dedicated safe place for women and non binary people in Detroit. I’ll certainly be back.

I absolutely loved BasBlue. I love the atmosphere and the many different rooms that are available to work quietly, hold a meeting, enjoy a coffee, or have a nice lunch. I am definitely going to make a return trip to BasBlue.

i’ve come here to study a few times and every time it’s always amazing. The staff is so kind and hospitable- The food and coffee is always great. I think they actually have a rotating menu throughout the year and they have different businesses in Detroit make the food there! The space itself is so comfortable and cute-even the music they play is good! Every time I come there is always women in business around having meetings or just chatting- which always helps me be more productive. I definitely recommend coming here!

Recently visited Bas Blue and noticed most of the staff looked cute and festive in Halloween costumes, like fairies and other fun themes. However, I was disappointed to see one barista dressed as a ‘fortune teller’ and referring to it as ‘gypsy.’ This costume was problematic, as it isn’t just a Halloween character—it’s a hurtful stereotype of Romani people . Seeing these outdated and culturally appropriative representations in a community space was disappointing. I hope Bas Blue will encourage more cultural sensitivity among staff to make the cafe welcoming for everyone.

What a delightful adventure. Ordered the salmon bowl and it was five stars! Salmon cooked to perfection, extraordinary tasteful sauce and a great variety of roasted veggies. Staff was top notch and could answer questions about food choices. Everyone is welcoming and the dining area was bright, clean and inviting.

Very friendly place, staff and customers were sweet, the patio chill, and the cappuccinos fantastic!
