Don’t pay attention to the good reviews here. Place is trash in all categories. $40 and 50 minutes after ordering, we received the most mediocre food. Such a disappointment. Greasy/oily flavorless Mac n cheese. Pulled pork that was simply oven roasted and flavorless while they have a smoker rolling outside. Fatty, mushy and bland with a generic bbq sauce and an insultingly small portion. Complete rip off with terrible service, cleanliness and environment. Go find a real bbq establishment or go hungry instead, you’ll be better off…

I visited on a Thursday for Jam Night with my Father from Canada. We had the excellent Rib Dinner with Candied Yams, Collard Greens and Mac N’ Cheese. Great vibe and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food. Amazing people and music! Waitresses are great but understaffed. Thank you Ariel, you are fantastic.

My family and I visited Bert’s after the Eastern Market after dark event this past Thursday, and had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was terrible we had to flag down a friend just to get a waiter. The wait was unreasonably long, and when the food finally arrived, it was wrong. I specifically ordered catfish and was served whiting instead. The chicken wings were disappointing, and overall, the meal was not worth the time or money. I was literally sick after eating that bland non seasoned food.
Management clearly needs to hire more staff and reconsider the kitchen team. If I could give zero stars, I would. Never again, I’ll take my dollars elsewhere.

Bert's is like no other place in the D. Grown folks just out dressing up and having fun. The bands Phase 5 and Fantastic 4 were awesome. There were 2 lady singers on 8/22 but I didn't get their names. They put on a good show!

We can out Sunday evening for the ballroom/hustle night the crowd was amazing everyone very welcoming but the servers ain't really pay attention to the ppl out on the patio area and then their DJ was extremely rude and disrespectful to my dance club we asked him to play a few songs so we can dance and he got extremely rude with us this made our night go bad we are spending money at the business and helping bring ppl in and to be disrespected I will not return with my team we can keep our money in our pockets and patronize another local business that will appreciate us n our money who won't disrespect us

I ordered the Billie holiday dinner. The 6 rib bones was the only thing that was worth my money. The mac & cheese was cheesy and tasteless. My other side was supposed to be green beans, but they decided to give me some unseasoned greens instead. To charge $30 for a dinner, I expected something really extra tasty. I could've went to the little hole in the wall restaurant in Highland Park, as a matter of fact, that's where I'll go from now on. I will NEVER support this business again.

I'm not sure if I gave a review on Bert's before.... so without second guessing myself... let us just do my lunch date for today....lol.. because if I gave a review on my life experience there ... wow I would have to right a whole book... so let's just take it slow....sorry No pics😥... it early and on a Thursday... my date want comfort food..humm.. who else would you go to in the same vicinity as Bert's for simplicity? Oh ok... please tell free to send me the address..just for variety...lol...anyways Burts was extremely lite with patrons... went right in had a seat...got waited on looked around at the upcoming events posted on the wall and BAMM!! THERE WAS LUNCH A VERY SIMPLE ONE THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AS USUAL... GO GET YOU SOME!!! 😊🤗
