The service was very slow. Wait staff was standing talking for ten minutes before anyone came to service us. It was pretty warm inside, but not unbearable. I had to chase down my waitress to get my bill paid so we could leave in time for the Tiger's game. We might have eaten more if it had gone down in a more timely manner.

Parking: More expensive ($10) than nearby but I want shorter walks at my age (75).
Went in with my son before a Tigers game. We found a booth to sit in and were quickly attended to by our waitress who was very pleasant. The food was no thrills but excellent and the waitress always checked on us if we needed anything. My sons first experience in a bar where the music is extremely loud and I asked him was he ok with this...he said he was fine which to me meant he felt comfortable and safe...if we ever come back to a Tigers game my son wants to come back to Bookies...
Stopped in for a couple drinks & a quick app. Service was outstanding, sat upstairs on the 3rd floor.

20 plus years & counting for these guys, doesn’t feel like a coincidence. This has been my unofficial light house for the city for just as long. Park near by, close walking distance to nearby venues. Keep up the good work guys.
