Inside the Detroit Opera house, it is perfect if attending a performance. Get a reservation as it is booked. the food is perfect for lighter meals and nibbles. Don't expect a steak dinner...it would just take too much time and not on the menu. Nice staff! I highly recommended this place. Must try.

I had a better experience than what many reviews seem to have had! My 8 yo daughter and I made reservations before a Friday night show at the theater. We split filet medallions and our waitress brought it plated separately which was great and I hadn’t even asked! Filet was delicious, dessert was just ok but I’m not a huge dessert person. My daughter loved it and the waitress made her a special hot cocoa. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The waitress did mention that their menu changes basically every time a show changes so you can’t really see an accurate menu online though the variety seems similar. It’s a limited menu but the ease of eating and then walking into the show can’t be beat!

Staff was FANTASTIC, and so was the dinner. Had a wonderful night! Arrived at the opera theater about 1 1/2 hours before the performance began, found affordable parking in the lot right next door, and enjoyed great service, food and entertainment. Plan ahead, make sure that you make a reservation at least a week before the performance to ensure a wonderful time. Plan to do this again next time I visit the opera theater.

Great place to grab a drink before a show

We use this when we are going to the Detroit Opera as it is in the same building. New caterer two years ago ('17) has shaken off the rusty edges and gives fine service on limited hours. No tipping as they pay staff fair hourly wages to offset the spotty open hours. Limited menu with choices of meat/fish/veggie, good appetizers, surprisingly good, if simple, desserts. Full bar. Portions enough to fill but not to take much home - I prefer that to mountains that I cannot hope to finish. Skilled chefs and recipes from a huge catering firm in a scaled-down setting. Might even make that 4 1/2 stars. ronsnipper

Our waitress Jazlyn was spot on with her suggestions. Baked potato soup was wonderful. I don't eat meat so I enjoyed the roasted vegetable fettuccine. She suggested the gooey butter cake for dessert and it was a delight. Will definitely return again. Only disappointment was no iced tea.

Great food and drinks and great service. It's important to know that seating at the table is limited and that the menu is designed to be quick so that the those who are there to see a show will make it on time. Jacob, our server, was quick and curteous and Ben, who made my after dinner drink, was good too. Would come here to eat even if I wasn't seeing a show.

My friend and I were guests yesterday (3/17/19) prior to the Alvin Ailey American Dan Theatre performance. Immediately after being seated,

Great staff. Food was ok, not great by my standards. Nice atmosphere.

My party of 3 didn't have reservations but they were still able to get us a table at their second seating with enough time to get to our seats. Prices seem a little steep and the servings aren't huge but they pay their staff living wages so they don't charge tip. Food was pretty good, though I would've liked the option of a side/small salad as well as two sizes for soup. Overall good experience and I'd certainly go back.
