Coffee is top notch. Service is great. Location is convenient for a quick stop in, but not ideal if you're looking to spend time at a cafe.

Coffee is amazing. However, I’m dinging one star on service only because it’s Christmas Eve day, and I’m a Jew who wished a Merry Christmas, and got replied back with a Happy Holidays...on Christmas. You can say Merry Christmas, on Christmas. Nobody gonna cancel you. Merry Christmas ? ? ??

First time in today. The orange spice latte (seasonal menu) is perfection! Amazing customer service! Will be back. Highly recommend!

To begin with, it is unnecessarily expensive; it cost $16 for two small drinks. The cost would be worth it though if the drinks were any good. It’s actually some of the worst coffee I’ve had, especially at this price point. Additionally, the server was passive aggressive towards us when we asked for additional syrup in our coffee after we tasted it. We just wanted more flavor/sweetener and he told us it’s supposed to cost extra, so we should’ve let him know in advance. How would we know what it would taste like in advance. I’ve never been to a local cafe that charged extra for additional syrup. Considering that it’s already so expensive, paying extra for one pump of syrup is wild. The interior is cute, but the coffee is definitely not worth it. Among the abundance of coffee shops in Detroit, there are so many places that are cuter, more accommodating, cheaper, and have better coffee. I don’t recommend Cafe Alto.

Their cold brew is excellent! They also have transient seasonal drinks and pastries (which sometimes include a vegan option!). The interior is minimalist, brightened by enormous windows, and offers counter-only limited seating (or a walk-up window). I have never had an issue finding parking, but it is exclusively city street parking. This is a great spot for a simple grab 'n go coffee experience in Detroit!Vegetarian options: Many drinks can be made vegan with plant-based milk!Dietary restrictions: plant-based milk options and sometimes vegan pastry offeringsParking: metered city street parking

Amazing pastries and Latte's. I love the neighborhood feel. Plus you may encounter a dog or two inside the shop.

Not only was the coffee waaaayyyyy overpriced. it wasn't good, customer service was missing the mark and overall it wouldn't be a place I suggest to visit. I will not be returning.

This is an adorable mini modern cafe with plenty of greenery on the walls, five seats facing the windows, and a limited selection of food and beverages. It’s perfect for to go coffees with a pickup window right out front. Felix assisted me with picking my latte, I got the seasonal horchata latte and it was delicious and prepared with latte art. Great option with a little kick to it. I personally prefer more of a sit down cafe with plenty of seating options so I more than likely won’t stop by too often. However, if you like grab and go’s from small businesses or window seating for people watching, it’s worth checking out!Parking: Parking directly in front is very convenient!
