I was a first timer. I live 58 minutes outside of the city. I walked in and was skeptical on the entire place. Full of random pictures of musicians. So I Looked up what the place was about after we got in.. And boy Howdy, what a history on the place. From walking in and greeted by Charles, the Bouncer/host/busier, amazing person, was a rock star!

This place is my home away from home. I haven't lived in Detroit in almost 20 years, but I still love all the memories and friendships I created in this place. It's the one place I make it a point to visit every time I'm in the D.
Great music, fantastic service, and always a good time. If you haven't visited yet, make it a point to drop in.
First off. Our group had a great time at d'Mongo's last night. Really enjoyed Carl and the band. However, be forwarned that the 1 check per table does not include any kind of a breakdown, or itemization of what you were charged for!!! You will only be given a small sheet of paper with a total on it!!!
