Service was polite and professional, but a bit slow considering how slow the place was. But it was still OK.
The wall color, giant chandelier, and disco ball are cool and add to the unique vibe here. The music was the right volume to allow normal conversation.

Wandered in, while staying at the hotel. So glad we did because it truly was an intimate setting, which was perfect for my wife and I. Also, we met another couple there who were an absolute pleasure to get to know.
The staff are incredible, and gave us such excellent recommendations for drinks - Old Fashion and Pinot Franc (Red) are certainly a must try!

Andy & Josh were stupendous! My co worker and I stopped in for one drink. Josh was amazing and took our name down and cleaned off a table space immediately. Andy was so sweet and a great conversationalist! She offered us champagne for the wait even though we really didn’t mind waiting. We were enjoying the deco art around the bar.

The space itself is beautiful and a great setting for an intimate date or night with the girls if you’re looking to splurge. The whole reservation system and service is why I probably wouldn’t come back here if I don’t have a reason to. The hostess was so so rude that I was embarrassed for bringing my work party there and even making the reservation in the first place. The entire time I kept thinking I wish we had just stayed at the previous bar we were chilling at, The Brakeman, which was a much better vibe. At least we got a cute photo out of it…

I order a drink that had glitter inside which I did not know because it was not disclosed on the menu. The place was very dim and dark in the inside that I had to use my phone light to see. That’s when I noticed the glitter. When I saw it in my drink I asked for another drink and the waitress told me no. I asked to speak with a manager and she said I think the manager is gone for the day. I asked if she could find out. I also told her that I was allergic to glitter and she said she asked me earlier if I had any allergies. I did not know she was referring to glitter in the drink I’m thinking more so of food allergies etc. I express this to her. I saw the waitress and two other staff huddled in the corner talking. I knew they were talking about me because one staff kept looking over at me. After giving me the drink she never came back to follow up with to see if I needed anything else. She just continued to serve others. One of them did have on uniform and looked as if he could be the manager. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I told him that the waitress told me that you were gone for the day. I explained the situation about what happens. The manager was very understanding and did not allow me to pay for my drink. The place is very small inside as well. When seated next to others your really close to other people kind of in their personal space.

Gorgeous cozy and sexy hotel bar perfect for a date. The vibe is best described as a bastard child of the 1920’s with the 1970’s. Pink, crystal, opulent. I always half expect a burlesque show to break out from behind a secret wall panel

Despite having a reservation and the restaurant being completely empty they sat us in the lobby for an hour before taking up back. They kept saying they would give us 1.5 hours at our table but we kept explaining it didn’t matter because we had a hard stop for dinner reservations. Then they split our group between two tables even though larger ones were available. It was 2 of our friends birthdays so it was weird that they forced us to split up. The staff was very rude and dismissive, the drinks were just okay and the whole experience was very bizarre. Would not go back.

Atmosphere is excellent, great music, great cocktails. We had reservations, would recommend doing that because it’s quite small and intimate. I had a mocktail that was unbelievable!

Candy Bar was our favorite high end cocktail bar in Downtown Detroit during our three day stint and boy did we try them all. Very cool art design, very inventive yet high quality cocktail menu, and Samuel & Angie were so nice and fun and knowledgeable. Definitely a rec if you like cocktails and a fun environment.

I had an outstanding experience thanks to Shaun behind the bar. From the moment I sat down, he was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to ask what flavors I enjoy and then crafted a custom cocktail that hit every note—balanced, creative, and beautifully presented. Beyond the drinks, Shaun kept the vibe welcoming and upbeat, checked in at the right moments, and made everyone feel like a regular. Give that man a raise!!!
