MK Cannelle was wonderful! My business partner and I visited on a chilly but beautifully sunny morning before work while we visited Detroit, and are grateful we wandered inside on a whim! The pastries were first eaten by my eyes and WOW! The inside of the cafe is chic and clean, and the displays are gorgeous!Filled with golden, delicate doughs-- we ordered several items. I got a savory croissant that was packed with filling while my colleague ordered a raspberry tart and some cannelle for us to share. We thoroughly enjoyed them all! Everything was light and not too sweet, and my pastry was wonderfully flaky but not greasy!

Have you been wanting to find a great croissant? Look no more; I like to say Cannelle has the best one outside of Paris. As the name suggests this french inspired bakery/café has any patisserie you can imagine, a solid list of sandwiches, and all of your coffee needs. Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, it's for sure an obligated stop when in town.

Canelle is an absolutely gorgeous cafe with beautiful baked goods and delicious coffee.I stopped in for a specialty coffee after grabbing a breakfast sandwich at Iggy's Eggies across the street; I'm certain my jaw dropped when I walked in.They have large showcases with flawless and absolutely mouth watering baked goods of every type imaginable.I stood admiring the showcases for an (awkwardly) long time, contemplating if I needed a second breakfast. Alas, I went with my original plan to get a specialty coffee, and opted for a decaf americano misto with oat milk. It was superb!I lingered awhile longer thinking that yes, maybe I should purchase a baked good for the road, but settled on taking some pictures so I could always remember my visit.I highly recommend visiting Canelle, and coming on an empty stomach. The prices are a bit steeper than other cafes in the area, but are reflective of the quality. There is ample seating inside & outside, or at the park just around the corner. It's a very walkable location in Downtown Detroit, close to all major hotels. There are also lots of cute shops nearby!Vegetarian options: Lots of diverse bakery items and specialty coffeesParking: Street parking

This is the best bakery I have ever been to. I was worried it would be disappointing or overrated but honestly everything was amazing. The place was packed on a Saturday morning but we were helped quickly, and the girl was nice and patient anyway. It's brightly lit and with so many beautiful options inside I kind of wondered if it would all look good but not taste that great (I'm cynical at times what can I say) but the coffee was so smooth and the lemon tart was fantastic with a light and almost fluffy filling and the shell was buttery and perfect and the almond croissant was amazing the best I have had yet in my life and I am obsessed with them and get them everywhere I see them.

Finally made it to the downtown location. Neat little spot perfectly situated on a corner. Quality is superb, love their little twists on classics and their inventions are tasty. Had a chocolate macaron the big one and a bacon gruyere croissant. 10/10 for vibes, flavors, and service.

The savory croissants are quiet delicious. Feta, basil, tomato.

Unbelievablely delicious pastries. Served warm first thing in the morning or heat them yourself later. You will not regret picking up a few of these treats. So many good flavors. It's always a great morning when it starts with Cannelle pastries.

Not to good so far everything I've tried wasn't up to part. I've tried several things. If you want your money worth think wisley. Pastries are not sweet to taste. Or should I say we're not sweet enough.

Pastries look good and tasted even better. Very metro vibe. There's always a line to order. Be a little patient and it is worth the wait. Pets allowed. Croissants felt airy. Everything was good except for the service (genuinely helpful to all), tables and chairs need to clean from crumbs and more dining space.
