Ordered the cat fish snack dish yesterday and they sold me something else I didn’t want swai fish I think they call it and when I called them to ask for a manager it wasn’t one available smh never again!

My first time coming back here today after about 2 years, they gave me bad catfish! It smelled horrible and once I figured out it was spoiled I got sick to my stomach! Fast forward to today, I told my siblings about this place but they wanted to go anyway. Got there and one of the workers said they had no fresh chicken so they had to get pre-cooked chicken that was piled up in a bucket ready to be cooked for the second time. I don’t know if y’all are lazy or just nasty as hell, not to mention the workers were back there giggling about it. I’m going to get the last laugh though

This is literally the worst caption jays in all of Detroit I’m betting lol customer service is ass, food is unpredictable in quality/freshness, and now the fries without any warning have changed in size not price tho! Lol the large fry is now a small and they “dont do refunds” 🙃 do yourself a favor and go to a different captain jays lol I’m sure there’s waaaaay better captain jays u can go to that won’t try to scam you like they do 😕Sad cause I want to support local but can’t when the restaurant just sucks so brazen & blatantly 🙃 will show size difference in the pic below

A typical authentic detroit establishment. Food be good, though wouldn't count on dinning in.

Everything tastes like old fish, chicken, shrimp and fish all cooked in same oil

The catfish was really good.

I would like to the thank all the staff members and manager for all the help with my order. I had a very large and it was cooked perfectly. It was done at the exact time they gave me. Very professional and friendly. Always been my favorite Captain Jays!!! Thank you so much for great service!!!!

Walked in at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday. One car in the parking lot.Found no one inside. Place is not set up for dining in, strictly carry-out & drive-thru. Waited a couple of minutes but saw no indication that there was anyone but me in the place.Too bad, I was really in the mood for fish.No public restrooms either.See ya, bye.
