It's non-dairy, no processed sugars, gluten-free and very tasty. I will visit again.

Its on Canfield and not Cass for starters. This is more of vegan ice cream place. The ice cream is made with oatmilk and does not have the taste you expect if you're not used to it. Something and different for us. Great customer service.

On the soft serve: I have been fortunate to eat lots of delicious vegan ice cream! While I’m grateful for Cold Truth’s existence, I don’t love it. I can’t quite put my finger/tongue on what it is but the soft serve ice cream is weirdly a little flavorless. I appreciate the variety of toppings, and I’m excited to try their “hard scoop” options when they’re back.
On the sandos: now these are BOMB. We had one at the Detroit sandwich party, so I don’t know if the store front carries them all the time. But if you run across one, don’t hesitate!!

Kind of shocked to see such an amazing spot rated so poorly. Lots of, shall we say, … confused ? ornery ? bizarrely and erroneously anti-vegan reviewers in these ranks. That’s all well and beside the point because we went on the recommendation of some friends and loved everything we got. Chocolate, vanilla, coconut, mango lassi - all sublime! Ignore the clowns and check out this gem 💎

I think there is a slight coconut undertone to the chocolate and vanilla, but it was still good. Nice and creamy, not icy or watery. And not sickeningly sweet. I enjoyed the chocolate dip. The regular cones are gluten free, but don't let that dissuade you; I couldn't tell the difference since those types of cones are so processed anyway. It hit the spot for soft serve, and I'm glad I went.
