I tried this restaurant today and loved their food. Decor reminded me of Bangladeshi street restaurants which is not grand at all. But do not let the decor trick you because the food is amazing. We tried the tea, beef kala bhuna, chicken curry, chicken chaap and luchi. Apart from the chicken chaap everything else was 10/10. Fuchka was the best in Michigan. Deshi Bhoj is an amazing restaurant serving authentic Bangladeshi food. The food is delicious, superb, unbelievable, and truly fresh, tasting like home cooked meals. Many dishes are highly recommended, including the Fish Combo with Hilsa, Deshi combo, fried hilsha fish, goat curry, shrimp vorta, beef kala vuna, chicken curry, and Kala bhuna. Sides like Aloo Bhorta, Loitta bhorta, begun bharta, daal, and rice are also super delicious and of super quality. The Rosomalai dessert is so good.
The quality and quantity of the food is beyond explanation and nothing is pre-cooked. The service is awesome, with very good customer service from accommodating and professional people who are extremely helpful and courteous. They take the time to explain the menu and offer options like selecting spice level. The atmosphere is great, making the overall experience just amazing. This gem on Detroit is highly, highly recommended for anyone with cravings for real Bangladeshi food.
