I typically refrain from writing reviews, but my experience at this establishment compels me to share. Finding competent staff is a challenge, and it's clear that this restaurant is understaffed. While I sympathize with the difficulties this presents, it is essential for employees to perform their duties effectively and efficiently, especially in the service industry. My intention was to enjoy a quick breakfast, but this turned into a 45-minute ordeal. Shortly after placing my order, I was served a coffee, but then the waitress seemed to disappear. As time passed, I found myself repeatedly glancing towards the kitchen, only to see my order languishing under the heat lamps for 20 minutes, with no waitress in sight to serve it.In a bid to resolve the situation, I flagged down another waiter and inquired about the neglected plate of food. He identified it as the Western omelette I had ordered and promptly brought it over, even offering to prepare a fresh one. However, pressed for time, I opted to accept it as it was. Disappointingly, my toast never arrived, my coffee remained unrefilled, and the only time I saw my original waitress was when it came time to pay the $20 bill for the meal.Although the food was satisfactory, the service was deplorably lacking. Based on this experience, I am deterred from returning to this location.

was accused of stealing by a waitres because she couldn’t even keep track with everyone’s orders. we also waited an hour and a half for food. i will never come here again and you would think with it being a black business they wouldn’t stick to typical stereotypes but i guess the community will always fall short with that.

Went on a Sunday. Service not good, wait time horrendous,, but the food was delicious. The shrimp and grits were awesome to me, I don't need a gravy on my grits, no sir. Didn't need to add salt or pepper and there wasn't a gritty taste. The waffles were good and bacon was cooked perfectly. Service needs a lot of work, otherwise I definitely will be back.

Lights fixtures had dust and spider webs. These lights hang over the tables, over your food. The walls were dirty and had old stains and food on them. The food was a 3.

We went at a time that wasn't too crowded. The food came promptly and was well prepared. The waitress great. The staff seemed happy to be there. I heard laughs in the back.My only critique ... they need a different syrup lol. The pancakes were doing their job, but the syrup didn't drive it home. Nevertheless, I'll be returning.

Overall a terrible experience. We waited half an hour for a table, which was fine, they were busy. We ordered our food right away and waited two hours for it. They brought my husband’s eggs benedict and my side of eggs first, then I still waited ten minutes for mine. The side of eggs was over cooked, as well as cold and dried out, like they’d been sitting under the heat lamp for an hour. I ate them because at this point it had been over two hours since we’d been seated and I was starving. The eggs benedict was gross, literally inedible. The eggs were hard boiled all the way through, not runny at all. The sauce was coagulated and dried with a skin on top because the plate had sat under the heat lamp in the kitchen for who knows how long. The ham was rock hard, almost impossible to cut through. The potatoes were unequivocally bland, it seemed like they had just paprika and not a single other seasoning, not even salt. It did not get eaten. The stuffed hash brown special finally came, and I don’t have a particular complaint about it but it just didn’t taste good. The cheese had a weird, gross taste to it. The sausage gravy was supposed to be on top, but thankfully it came in a cup because it was nasty. Undercooked, tasted like flour, and broken so the fat was separated. I ate maybe half of my meal.We got 1 strawberry margarita that was mediocre at best, thankfully it was only $3.The manager comped us $15 for the eggs benedict, but I regret not just putting a $10 bill on the table for the eggs and margarita that were consumed and leaving.Prices were very high for breakfast, so our expectations were high. Everything on the menu was way too expensive, especially for the horrible quality.Service was bad, and 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. I’m sure this is because the service sucks so no one wants to tip their servers. I don’t blame them.To top it off, the bathrooms were very dirty which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. My husband is a chef and I worked in restaurants for years, so we both know that this place could have been worlds better. Massively disappointing, straight up awful restaurant.I don’t recommend, go literally anywhere else. Hot dogs from 7/11 would have been a better brunch.

An inviting location with an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch choices. The staff were friendly and fun to interact with and quick, too.In addition to the regular menu there was a chalkboard with a half dozen daily specials on it.I went with the stuffed hash browns, a decidedly non-vegetarian choice.Five minutes later, it was here, looking almost decadent and definitely like comfort food. It was and quite tasty!Vegetarian options: Since the menu is predominantly breakfast, avoiding meat/eggs is not rocket science.Dietary restrictions: Easy enough to avoid issues and you can always ask a serverParking: Must be 50 spaces out thereKid-friendliness: Unless your children are feral, you will have no issues here.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room within, lots of space at both the booths and tables for wheelchairs, etc. Double doors to enter.

This dive offers a variety of breakfast options. The Shrimp & Grits, while sounding amazing on the menu, were just okay. I liked the stone ground gouda grits, and the shrimp were tasty, but the dish needed sauce. The Creme Brulee French Toast didn't match its menu description, resembling traditional French toast instead. Despite the menu error, the environment has a beautifully updated bar, but the dining area needs improvement—perhaps a good cleaning to distract from the lack of updates.

Went back recently and got the Breakfast Burger. It was good, the burger and egg were overcooked for my liking but still good. The home fries were so good with the Cajun seasoning ?. My favorite part of the experience was the server, Tamera (I think), she was so cool and funny. I gave her an extra tip. The major drawback was the heat. It was really warm but I guess it being January in Detroit, I should be grateful that it worked.
