Nicest sports bar theme there is. The building is so cool looking. Will definitely be back.

Loved this restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. Quiet you feel like your the only table, it's nice.

Great service — they hustled to get us out on time for a show at the Fox. And the bill was so low — like $40-$50 per person with drinks — I couldn't believe my eyes. Would've been higher, if we had stayed longer, but very reasonable, especially considering the venue, location and quality. (I had the salmon sandwich with fries.)

Enjoyed dinner last night at Louie’s Grill. Food was very good. The folks at our table had a turkey burger with grilled onions, Gruyère, and fig jam which had the right amount of sweet and salt; pork chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus which were delicious; a very good chicken club and a trio of sliders which were large enough for two to share. Everything was hot and the fries had just the right amount of crispiness. Service was top notch and the restaurant has an upscale sports bar vibe. Prices were reasonable ($15-25 for our meals). It’s within a short walk of many downtown venues including The Opera House, Fox, & Comerica Park.

I ordered a burger, medium, and it came out, literally almost totally rare. I would give it a zero star if I could 🤮

Everything was great-the waiter, the food, the ambience. We are definitely recommending it to our friends.

Randomly (we dont live in Michigan) chose this place while looking for a place to eat before a concert at Comerica. Was so happy we ended up here for dinner. The food was delicious! Our server answered our menu questions and checked in with us very attentively. Would definitely eat here again!

Jess is a great bartender. Super cocktails good pour. Mary came to chat and welcome us. We went before LCA concert - easy walk. We'll go back. We didn't sample much of menu. Had a Gree garlic dip with little toasted pitas and veggies. Liked that a lot -but you need to love garlic. Split a reubin-corned beef was amazing but bread was bit soggy. Truffle fries didn't disappoint.

Been twice now and enjoyed both meals at a reasonable rate. Hard to find these days. We would recommend.

I found Louie's on Google Maps, looking for a restaurant near Comerica Park. This was a perfect pre-game location, with a large menu and prompt service. It is also well located for visits to the Detroit Opera House.

It was a quiet and slow night for Downtown Louie's on the Friday we made it into town for a very fast stop to pay our respects to my husband's uncle. The restaurant was not far from our hotel and our server was attentive and sweet. The inside of the restaurant has original wood and an area overlooking the street and the restaurant right hovering over the entrance that my son wondered how people got up to sit at the table housed there. Our server informed us it was just for decoration. We noted it would be cool if people could sit there, as it would be a romantic and coveted seat to reserve. I had a chicken dish with mashed potatoes and spinach. The chicken was a bit overcooked but was saved by the potent lemon seasoning. The mashed potatoes were a bit chunky and had the right touch of garlic and butter, but I was unable to finish them after sharing an order of truffle fries as an appetizer with the table. If you are in the downtown Detroit area, I do suggest trying Downtown Louie's, as it is more affordable than other venues and is convenient to most hotels there.
