It seems as though the hash brown portions have gotten smaller recently. The food is still good, however.

I mean what can I say about this place? The coneys are to die for! Top notch. Old school place that's cash only. Place is a treasure hands down

Hasn't changed since the last time I was there in 1984. Wonderful food! The best, Coney Islands.

A timeless classic in Southwest Detroit. It’s always busy and always a fun eating out experience.

OG coney spot. One of the best in the city. Top notch chili on the coney and great fries.

The food is excellent as always. But most importantly is the customer service on midnights. They're the friendliest group working. I always walk into "Hey brother, welcome back." I always leave him a nice tip because of how kind he has been to me. He deserves it.

We visited the area and my husband found that the whole Coney Island dog phenomenon was huge here. We gave it a shot. It took us ages to find a place to get cash but that’s not their fault at all. Just plan in advance for that. We had a large group (7) and I was very gratified to find we could all sit at the bar on a Tuesday at 945 am. There’s probably seating for 25 in the entire building so that was great for us. The prices shown on a menu board in the photos are not current but our whole group still at for less than $60. Everything was cooked well, but you have to season to taste. We ordered strictly breakfast. My over medium eggs - which people regularly mess up - were perfect. My husband’s breakfast ham was delicious. My daughter’s friend said that was some of the best French toast she’d ever had. No frills, very straight forward. DO NOT touch the underside of the bar. Just trust me. People like the Anthony Bourdain novelty factor and that’s cool too. I would never specifically seek it out again but service was fast, the bathroom was clean, and food was inexpensive and tasty.

Really nice place, especially for the size. Definitely check it out!

Kid-friendliness: Small place, so there's not much room for kids to move about.

This place is a gem; I had the BEST hamburger I've ever had in my entire life. I highly recommend going here. If we ever pass through Detroit again, we will, most assuredly, eat here again.
The chef was kind, the place has character, which I loved.
