great atmosphere, incredible food. Flavors where a notch above typical Mexican restaurants even for Mexican town (where I haven't had a bad meal) . The food at Al Asador had more of a home cooking type of feel. The Poblano soup really stood out. Thoroughly recommend and looking forward to returning. I actually loved the fact that the place is BYOB, I brought my own Margarita's!

I would argue this should be significantly more popular than it is. I’ve tried 4 different meals and all 4 were simply outstanding. Best steakhouse around.

The food is great and the service is good. The only downfall is that they started nickel and dime you on every little thing you ask.

Insanely good spot for lunch. The food blew me away. If I am ever in Detroit again, this I the first place I'll go for Mexican food!

My wife and I drove to this restaurant from Birmingham to celebrate her birthday today. We had a reservation for 8:45 PM but arrived at 9:00 PM. The front door was locked so I called the restaurant. I was informed by a woman that they decided to close early. The restaurant is officially open until 10 PM. I did not receive any phone call or notification from the restaurant about the early closure, and the reservation was confirmed. Very unprofessional behaviour.
'Qe went for the Lobster Quesadilla and it was really good.

This was my first visit and won’t be my last. It satisfied my craving for real authentic Mexican cuisine. Featuring table side guacamole! Chef’s kiss

The most delicious meal I’ve had in a while! Every dish was beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection. Had the house soup, guacamole, with steak and tres leches. Highly recommend everything I tried. wish I had a bigger stomach!!!
Never disappoints. Guacamole on point, service is awesome. Not a bad item on the menu.

My new favorite restaurant! Love the BYOB. I made margaritas. The 8 oz. filet was cooked perfectly. My fajitas were very good although could've used more shrimp. But the tres leches cake was the best I've ever had, far and above. And our server Doris was the best.
