Top tier Detroit style pizza, have been here twice and have been blown away by the food and service. Excellent place for a large party or sports viewing!

I literally couldn’t imagine complaining about any part of my experience on a Saturday at lunchtime. The outdoor space is dog friendly and the front of house service was incredibly hospitable. The pizza is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like you expect and the truffle fries are so dang tasty without tasting like nothing but garlic.
Beer is an okay price, but the tech required to let you tap your wrist on a logo and then get charged per-oz isn’t free, so I get it. It’s a cool vibe inside and out. If you’ve been to Ferndale Project you’ll immediately recognize the inside vibes and the patio immediately feels like Founders Brewing in GR, which makes sense since this used to be the Founders Detroit space.
I love it here and will absolutely return!

Cool atmosphere. 70 minute wait for a pepperoni pizza. Zero service (self serve beer). I would not come back, especially if I only had 90 minutes and had a hockey game to get to. They would do good to hire 2 more actual human servers here on busy days. Great concept, absolutely awful execution.

I’m not big on complaining about local businesses because I understand that mistakes happen, but certain mistakes you simply cannot make. While leading a group of around 12 Cyclists on our Wednesday Night Ride Detroit, I decided to bring the group to Elephant & Co. for some food and drinks before finishing our last 10 miles. I didn’t want to overly fill myself, so I ordered some chicken tenders off of the CHILDREN’s menu. When I got my food and took my first bite, I could tell that something was off. I looked at the other piece of chicken I just bit off, only to discover it was raw on the inside (not under cooked but RAW). When I told the waiter, he took the food and then came back about 10 minutes later saying “don’t worry, I comped it for you” as if he was doimg me a favor😳. It’s clear that the staff has not been educated to the dangers of raw meat and particularly chicken. I’m sharing this for several reasons: 1. These people are literally risking the health of their clientele. 2. Frying chicken is the easiest thing that you can do food wise outside of pouring cereal. If they can’t do that right only God knows what else they’re doing back there. 3. This is a brewery that needs to be up to code simply to operate. If this is how lax they are on their food… who’s to say what’s in their beer? 4. This was off the Children’s menu!!! Thank God they didmt serve this to somebody’s kid who didmt have the wisdom to check before consuming. On top of potentially killing people or making them ill, their cavalier attitude towards the situation calls for alarm. There was no offer to make it right. There was no explanation for why it happened. It was just business as usual. Oh, and we were on the only 12 people in there out of a place that sits roughly 70-100. I can’t even give them the excuse that they were busy. Do with this information what you may, but please spread the word and keep this community safe because they clearly don’t care.
Quite literally the best people. My girlfriend constantly wants to come over from Windsor for a specific beer (razzle dazzle) when they were sold out the manager when back and found the last keg for her 10/10 great spot. Also pizza is top tier

Do you want raw chicken tenders? Look now further, as this is the place to get them. Do you want food prepared by people who have no experience with food because the owners aren't willingly to pay more than the bare minimum so the only people who apply there are the absolute bottom of the barrel? This is is the place for you. Do you want management that is so inept that they can't train their employees how to use a thermometer or at the very least cut into a fat piece of chicken to see if it's throughly cooked? If so then eat here.
Served RAW chicken tenders. Took one bite and sent them back. Server apologized and said he comped them.
I should hope so. That's all we ordered and sent them back. It's called a refund, not a comp!
The worst part was this was ordered from the kids menu. If a kid ordered it and didn't know any better, they could've eaten the whole thing and gotten SERIOUSLY I'LL FROM SALMONELLA!

Amazing pizza. Really good Detroit style crust. Confusing for a first timer as you really have no idea if youre supposed to sit first, pay first. Some signage could go a long way. The worst part is the questionable charges on my card after paying for beer. I got 3 different beers, no more than 10 ounces of each. Somehow I was charged $48 for 3 beers. I simply do not see how this added up correctly. Most of them said 79 cents an ounce so I should've been charged about 24 and instead I paid double that.

I had been to the Royal Oak one before which is nice but it’s much smaller inside. This location has a lot more room inside and outside. I went with a large group last weekend after a fundraiser walk. Chris was the only employee working and she did a greatttt job with our crew and other tables coming in. She effortlessly assisted, answered questions, and had a smile the whole time. The food was amazing and OMG the Key Lime Beer was SOOO GOOD, I am already looking it up to try and buy some! Thanks Chris & great job with our group photo 🥰

Last Friday we stopped by Elephant & Co, and it quickly became a spot we’ll be coming back to. What stood out most were the delicious pizzas, the unique self-serve beer taps, and the spacious layout both indoors and outdoors.
We tried the Margherita and the Chick on the Barbie pizzas both an easy 10/10. The Goat Berry Crunch Salad made for a fresh, flavorful starter, and our daughter devoured her grilled cheese.
Service was also excellent. Danielle greeted us as soon as we walked in and gave a clear rundown of how everything works from ordering food to grabbing drinks. Her attentiveness set the tone for a great experience.
The overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for families, date nights, or groups of any size. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Cold, lifeless, burdensome experience.
If the DMV created brewery, this would be the result. Robotic, unenthusiastic, minimalist service in a superficially refurbished sterile space.
Elephant & Co. does little more than check your ID and take your money, but its electronic phone based systems are confusing and poorly executed.
If I could invoice them for my time and effort attempting to use their restaurant I would.
Somehow the pizza is surprisingly good, but absolutely not worth the hassle and energy sapping experience.
Downtown visitors deserve better than this self serve tourist trap more at home on a turnpike rest stop than its great location.

Beer is priced per ounce, which results in $13 pints. Also there’s a mandatory tip for the nonexistent table service you’re not getting. Food is unreasonably slow, but at least in their digital menu they give you an incorrect estimate of how long you’ll wait. Atmosphere is great though!

Only redeeming quality of this place was that the pizza was annoyingly good.
It's a great idea, that was executed poorly.
The QRcodes for ordering at the table weren't scannable and when we tried to manually enter it table number it told us it was invalid, so we had to walk around and find a table with a readable code to scan.
They didn't have many beer options, no darks, brown ales, or red ales. My wrist band didn't work both times I tried to pour a full pint after trying 1 beer. I had to go up to the front counter to ask for help and the staff member was not very friendly. The second time I didn't even try to ask for help. Also, they limit you to 32 ounces per wristband but didn't tell us that when we got the wrist bands.
Food took a long time, which was understandable given how crowded it was, but when our pizza was ready, our text message said to come to the counter and grab it. I went up to the counter and they wouldn't give it to me, they told me they would bring it. We waited 15 minutes for it to be brought out to us.
When they dropped off our salad, the team member said they would grab us plates and forks and never came back.
Lastly, the bathrooms were gross. They only had 1 working sink and many stalls were dirty or out of order.
Would not recommend this place.
