Food was excellent. Service was good. I just wish the portion was larger because I definitely wanted more.Can't wait to go back.The meat were the stars. I got brisket and turkey chops but the sides were just as good (greens, green beans, candied yams and dressing).

Ive only been here once and they were ok ....the reviews and the way the person responded to the reviews are like wow condescending no response to the one with the photos with the soggy fries or oily fries though it's like a high schooler is behind replying to the negative reviews smh I'm about to go try them a second time today or tommorw and leave. Another review I'll post the video to YouTube of the pictures taste and customer service

BEST SOUL FOOD IN DETROIT! Chef always cooks my salmon perfectly! Yams never soggy always cooked just right. Mac and cheese got more cheese then ya mamas , okay! I drive 40 minutes for this food happily. 10/10 5

It should be called ERRTHANG SALTY! I was not impressed. He cooked the Mac on top of the stove, the turkey leg was dry. The greens was glory can greens. I wish they would find their lane cause cooking isn’t it lol

Went there last night didn't kno exactly what I wanted ordered ribs then changed my order to the turkey club sandwich that they had listed as a special glad I did I ordered two sandwiches and they were amazing meat tasted smoked nick thick slices of turkey bun was nice an grilled only complaint is I thought by it being a club sandwich it should have came with bacon. I will be back to try more off there menu soon an I would recommend this place to friends and family.

My first experience was a young man working there doing everything by himself with no help. He answered the phone took orders, made orders, and cooked also coming back to make sure I was good and to keep me informed on my meal. The ribs was so good and tender. I also witnessed I assume was another employee coming in yelling at him while customers were there. I felt bad for him and I felt the older man was unprofessional. I do not recommend the Mexican corn it is too hard to chew and the potato salad was watery.Updated! I know professionalism when I see it. I also know the difference between yelling and slamming things down either way it WAS UNPROFESSIONAL. AND MAYBE THAT'S WHY YOU'RE BARELY OPEN OR HAVE WHAT'S ON THE MENU COOKED! THAT'S YOUR RESTAURANT TRUE BUT NEEDS BETTER WORK DONE! TRUTHFULLY

I got the 1/2 slab rib dinner with two sides: collard greens plus macaroni and cheese. I added a sweet potato muffin. While the ribs were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned--the macaroni and cheese was too salty and so were the collard greens. The sweet potato muffin was very rubbery and dry. There was confusion about the special offered online upon arrival, which was eventually honored. However, I can't say that I'll be back. I'll stick to Uptown BBQ or Slow's for all things smoked and sides that don't necessarily come with another side of hypertension.
