Evening Bar serves delicious and interesting cocktails. I enjoyed the smoke and passion cocktail, made with mezcal and passionfruit. I would skip the spicy tuna crispy rice, as the tuna didn’t taste very fresh and had quite a fishy odor and taste.

For a while, I have avoided writing a complaint
as I had already opted not to patronize this establishment, but the experience still sits uneasy with me. I had an experience with that left me and my colleague feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were walking downtown (my colleague is not from here). As we were walking, we came across this place, which neither of us knew anything about. In being unaware of what it was, I approached the front door to ask. A woman at the door kindly and excitedly informed us that it was a speakeasy and offered to show us around. We agreed, and instead of being shown around, we were promptly seated at a table by the woman from door. Naturally, we sat down and began casual conversation. After some time, a waitress approached us for our orders. We each ordered a water, as we had just finished dining at another restaurant and were not intending to stay long, we just stopped in out of curiosity. Shortly after placing our water orders, I noticed that the waitress was speaking with other staff members while glancing at our table after she had walked away. About 5–10 minutes later, a manager, who identified herself as such, approached us and informed us that guests are not permitted to sit at tables unless they are ordering (more than water). While I understand and respect that policies exist, I questioned why this was escalated to a manager instead of being communicated to us directly by the waitress, especially since we were invited to sit down and would have left on our own without essentially being ushered out. I specifically asked if there was a reason the waitress did not informs us of the policy and the manner simply reiterated that it was policy, but we could sit in another area. I declined and chose to exit, instead. The encounter felt unnecessarily escalated and left us both with the impression that we were being watched and scrutinized in a manner that felt disproportionate to our dispositions and conduct. Although it’s possible that this was not racially motivated, I cannot ignore how uncomfortable it felt as a Black woman, especially given that my colleague was also a Black man. We were treated as though we had done something wrong for simply accepting an invitation to enter, sit, and order water. Respectfully, I ask that you monitor the way in which such policies are enforced. We were open to leaving had someone simply explained the policy upfront. Instead, we were observed, then confronted in a way that felt discriminatory and easily avoidable. Clear, consistent, and respectful communication goes a long way and so does the ability to make all patrons feel welcome, regardless of how much they spend or the perception of the patrons. Simply, do better.

Beautiful carefully curated space. Elevated cocktails. But they do not stuff their own olives. Olives were larger than the martini glass taking up what little space was there for the vodka martini.

Fun tiki place to check out, but had to wait 45 min past our reservation time. Drinks were nice and tiki appearance was cool, but they blared techno hip hop music so loud that I couldn’t hear my friends and it clashed with the aesthetic and kept pulling me out of the island vibe

The tiki/tropical them is the best part. Very aesthetic and drinks are amazing. Cheers!!!

Speak easy Tiki bar. Drinks didn't come out Tiki style though. Kind of really killed the element. Order rib app and the ribs were scorched burnt. Disappointing. Crab Rangoon were decent.

Great atmosphere during #313day25 there was 25+ min wait. Nice qaint-cozy spot. I had a #mojito which was very good! I would go here again, as the vibe was pretty good. Not sure if its like this always...

Cozy small speakeasy with a cool Tiki vibe. Went on a Monday night and it wasn't too crowded.
Nice selection of fun Tiki cocktails on the menu. Good service and comfy couches. We will be back.

We came in cause a friend told us about the pop up. Food options seemed perfect for what they are trying to capture here. Drink menu follows exact glassware. For some of us OCD people that’s cool.

Jimmy was our bartender and got to be honest. Even tho he was a little busy and drinks took a little while he was extremely communicative and always talked to my girlfriend and I and explained what he was doing and asked us to please wait.

The cocktails were really great and properly executed from reading the description to what was given to us. Jimmy is a fellow geek in the industry and it was so much fun hearing him talk about how they make everything from scratch. They have a super cool technique for making their Orgret also and can taste the difference from ones I have made before!!!

The other bartender showed up towards end but in our short interaction was super friendly also. Jimmy is the man and we will be back to see him. I can tell he is a true scientist with this and if I was the owners or manager would let this man fly and support his creativity if he presents it.
