I have driven by this place many times, and today I decided to stop in. I got the $3.99 red beans and rice and cornbread special. It was delicious! If I were a cat, I would be elaborately washing my face right now from satisfaction.Things to know: Pretty sure this place is cash only. It's mostly set up for takeout but there are several booths if you want to sit and eat. Other menu items include tilapia sandwiches, the steak deluxurious sandwich, fries, fried okra, hot dogs, and... well, as a mostly-vegetarian I'm doing a bad job of listing, but several fish options.Very friendly service and a charming vintage vibe!
