Rose latte and tomato basil soup are *cgef’s kiss* delicious. I recently visited three days in a row because of how yummy the food. It is a tiny restaurant and the prices are in the more expensive side (20% tip is factored in to the prices). There is a good amount of street

I came here on a Sunday morning, and the first and most prominent thing about this establishment is it's size.... it is tiny!!! We were greeted and sat ourselves at a small 2 person table, where we were quite literally elbow to elbow with adjacent customers eating. Now, outside of this school-cafeteria-level lack of space, Folk is pretty hipster and filled with expensive looking decor and cute items & packaged goods available to buy. NOTE: there is not a parking lot! I came here on a Sunday morning, and found this establishment to be cute but small. Small to the point you must be elbow to elbow with other customers!! Perhaps this was because I came at a busy time, but just know, you should expect to be in VERY close quarters during brunch time on weekends. If you're willing to put up with this very packed restaurant, this food was pretty darn good. I ordered their breakfast crunchwrap, it came with a small salsa, and it was delicious! This is the kind of restaurant where you order at the counter however they did still bring the food to our table. They include the gratuity in the bill- you should expect to pay around $20 per person here.

Very neat little coffee shop and eatery. Small dining space, but all the food looked very delicious. We only got coffee drinks.

Cute, small restaurant. Food was good. Offers some shopping for cookbooks, cooking oil, etc. I would recommend.

Very quaint cafe on the corner. I wanted to try the vegan crunch wrap and it exceeded my expectations. My husband was a little put off by the "hipster-ness" but he was also impressed with his waffle breakfast. I would not recommend the crunch wrap as a to-go item just because the chips on the second half started to get soggy by the time I finished the first half. It would be a good thing to split with someone for this reason as well. We went on a weekday so it wasn't busy, but it's nice that they have reservations online for busier days.Vegetarian options: They may only have a few vegetarian/vegan options but they're actually interesting and well madeDietary restrictions: They had a few gluten free options

My son and I stopped by for breakfast when we missed the switchover time to lunch at our nearby hotel. We were just hoping for something to tide us over until lunch. OMG. This was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The texture of the frittata was soft and buttery, while it was flavorful to say the least. The bacon was thick and flavorful. The biscuit was soft, tasteful and heavenly. The jam was a treat as well. To say the food is farm fresh and flavorful is an understatement. The staff is so nice and friendly as well. The restaurant is in a small, lovely place; I am sure the building was a general store in a prior life.I’ve found my new breakfast spot in Detroit when I’m back in town.

Went in for the first time for breakfast. No greeting by the server, I figured I needed to order at the register. Ordered one Belgian waffle, orange juice and an egg plus automatic 20% gratuity. Total was around $28 for one meal. Waffle was excellent, but with the lack of service and highly questionable automatic 20% gratuity, even before I am served in an unfriendly, hip environment? That was my first and last visit. Spend your money elsewhere.

I came here as the restaurant at the Godfrey had just switched over to lunch service and was not able to accommodate us for breakfast. Am I so glad they did. I had the frittata, biscuit and bacon. This was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The food was tasty and fresh. Staff was very friendly and attentive; a great neighborhood spot. I also love the ambiance of the restaurant. Its small but cozy. I've found my new breakfast spot when I am back in the city.

Had such a lovely brunch at Folk. I love that it's in Corktown but off the main road so it's quiet and not overly crowded. I made a reservation online and reservations are for 90 minutes. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The space is small but cozy and creatively set up so it doesn't feel cramped. We ordered some mimosas, their daily pastry which was a chai coffee cake, and a chai latte for me! For our meals I got their farmers plate but instead of ham I asked for smoked tempeh which was done without an issue. My husband got their daily specials which was a waffle egg Sammie with smoked tempeh. We loved the food and loved that so many items come vegetarian or can be made vegetarian and even vegan. I also loved that they use all homemade things and reduce food waste. I bought some of their triple berry jam to take home! I will definitely be back!

So this teeny "cafe" is delicious but be prepared to pay $80 for you and your daughter to get drinks and coffee.. up charges on everything! Manhattan prices in Detroit. great.

Fresh, intimate, and progressive. The menu is seasonally inspired and gives one a lot to think about when selecting. The idea of the crunch wrap smote me. I mean, frittata, tostada, spicy jack, chipotle aioli, and salsa verde sound like a resounding YUM, and I guarantee that it was! I paired it with a masala chai. I should note that I modified the Crunch Wrap to be vegan.I appreciate their intentionality with their menu, pairing their food items with drink items so you can craft and enjoy a gastronomic experience!I also appreciate their mission and commitment to low food waste, which is an inspiring model for the food and beverage industry. I'm not that keen about the commitments restaurants or cafes are pledging, so I appreciate knowing that when I choose to support Folk, I'm not just giving my tastebuds a treat but also helping this cafe support a valiant mission. I also find their events are opportunities to weave community, so I recommend attending one.
