Ordered sides that NEVER came even after requesting it and 20 minutes passed. Burgers were not medium at all. Food was so salty I feel preserved. Four burgers and shakes (in tiny cups) for $100.00 USD is way over priced even for downtown Detroit. Other reviews for 5 stars have got to be bots.
I’ve been wanting to try this place since I learned one of the chefs on top chef Eve from season 6 opened it.
The food was really good.
I really loved the salsa and the plaintain chips were crispy and salty. I would order them again.
I got a beef Frita, the burger itself was really great and well seasoned. The bun was also nice and soft, but soft to the point of falling apart while holding it. I got the avocado spread on my burger but I didn’t really taste it. The chipotle mayo was really good though, and so were the fries on top.
The milkshakes were very good and I highly commend. The passion fruit and coconut were my two go tos and I would order them again. We also ordered cilantro garlic fries and the flavor was good, I just wish they had been a bit more crispy but you could tell they were fresh cut fries.
The atmosphere was nice but when I went it was slammed. It was right before wings game and a show at the fox it that would explain why it was so busy. Honorable mention to the staff, they did great given how packed it was.

The atmosphere here is pleasant, and having dominoes available while you wait is a nice touch, especially since our order took a while to arrive. The servers are friendly and attentive, with sauces and water conveniently set on the table.
We tried the beef burger, which was decent with a good taste but nothing particularly memorable. The fries were soggy, but the crispy plantains were excellent—perfectly crunchy, not greasy, and very flavorful.
Overall, we wouldn’t go out of our way to visit, but it’s a solid option if you’re in the area.

I used to love Frita's and have been a loyal customer at both the Ann Arbor and Detroit locations, but today I was lied to and taken advantage of.
I placed a small order for pickup via DD. When I arrived to pickup my lunch, they told me they couldn't fulfill my order because they were out of beef. "Ok no problem, but please cancel my order then." After over a half hour of hiding in the back of house, the manager told me to my face that he cancelled my order. 2 hours later, I get an email saying my order was picked up and I was charged for it.
There were a lot of acceptable solutions: Refunding my order, cancelling my order through DD, even just offering to make it another day (I work next door and see the staff often.) Lying to me about cancelling it and then claiming I picked it up is FRAUD.

Food was incredible!! Loved the atmosphere!!
The only reason why I didn’t leave 5 stars; there was a lack of professionalism & connection with the one taking my order.
Aside from that, I love Frita Batidos & WILL be returning.

I don't know what was old on the black bean Frita. But I have the worst food poison ever now. I ordered 2 black bean Frita, fries and loaded plantains at 8:48pm. By 10:00p I was throwing all of it up. I just a tooth pulled so I din eat hardly any of it. Too painful. I only took 1 bite of the Frita. It had a little smell to it (almost rotten), I thought it might the spices you use. Clearly that wasn't. I like the atmosphere but that food was spoiled. And I'm really paying for it. Won't be ordering here anymore.

First time experience and mind blown. Ordered the beef frita (burger) medium well, single with Muenster, Egg, and avocado. The best thing I have eaten all year. They even sneak some fries on the burger and the mayo aioli; top notch bursting with flavor. Plenty of food and even shared the fries. Next time downtown I will be back and is now a staple.

Delicious sandwiches and THE FRIES omg! Get the garlic fries. Service was quick and friendly. Brought my parents here and they ranted and raved about how good the fish sandwich and the beef Frita were.

Order by the app on Google maps and my order wasn’t registered to be made for pick up. This needs to be fixed. The orders by phone and online orders are not going through for people who are on lunch during the weekdays.

Frita Batidos in Detroit is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and simple the restaurant looked – modern, fresh, and inviting. The service was top-notch, with the staff being super helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding! I tried the fish frita and the chorizo, both packed with incredible flavor. Their little snacks were a perfect addition to the meal. And the margarita... easily one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced and refreshing. If you're in Detroit, don't miss out on this place – great food, great vibes!

Had the best experience here! The lovely ladies at the counter were there to answer any questions we had, and even gave us a sample of their ginger lime juice. Their energy was amazing and we felt truly welcomed there! The inside was clean, sleek, and cozy. We got a fishbowl that was very strong and super refreshing. Would come back in a heartbeat!

This is my new favorite spot to eat in downtown Detroit. The food is reasonably priced. The flavor is out of this world. Try the passion fruit batidas.
Centrally located next to the Fox theater you are never too far from the action.
