I had eaten there a few years ago (2019) and this was my first time back. Pretty good.
Parking: Good luck trying to find a spot. It's easier to just pay for lot parking or order ahead and use 15 minutes parking to pick up your order.
Probably one of the worst versions of Pad Thai I’ve ever had. The sauce was watery and pooled in the bottom of the container instead of coating the noodles. The chicken was rubbery. It at least wasn’t over priced. The restaurant atmosphere was nice and I liked the vintage movie posters on the wall.
I used to grab takeout from here 2-3 times a week for lunch and I still think of it all the time. Great Thai food and they always were quick to get it out despite having a lot of traffic. I miss you Sy Thai!
Absolutely love this place!! Thai food is one of my favorite cuisine and this place hits the spot everytime. The only bad thing about this place are the hours because they are only really available for lunch but still love to get it!!
Tried this place for the first time and wow, it does not disappoint! So good I forgot to snap a picture.. be sure to order ahead, can get busy during lunch time and the parking is limited! Reasonably priced and enough food to save for later
This is a great place for carry out. If the weather is good, I recommend eating a cross the street at one if the picnic tables in Capital Park.
The hot & sour soup had no spice and had an odd aftertaste. I only had a few tastes before I gave up on it. The vegetable curry (ordered medium) also had no detectable spice. Overall the flavor was fine, just nothing to distinguish it. I won't order from here again, but maybe they're just having a bad day for soup, and the local clientele is sensitive to hot spices?
Watered down basic white girl Thai food.Wasn’t worth it. Very watery and saucy. Not authentic. If you’ve had authentic Thai you will be disappointed and unsatisfied I’ve eaten three different dishes from here, all the same, bland and basic.Staff is friendly and good, they get 5 stars.Food, 0 stars.
Drunken noodle hot is not that hot. Too much seasoning and noodles were passable. Crispy rolls were oily AND soggy.Ordering/ counter area crowded by totally unnecessary table, remove the table and service would be 200% better. Cool wall art posters.
Excellent food had the sesame chicken, and pad ThaiGreat flavors
Vegetarian options: The pad thai I ordered I asked for steamed tofu but they stuck some chicken..eeeewww but other than excellent
Restaurantji Recommends
They have recently changed the Spring Rolls and the change is disturbing. The rolls used to have finely shredded veggies inside a light crispy wrap; now the veggies are cut thick and the wrap is thicker and tough. Very sad.
Easily the best Thai food in Detroit! Whether you want something simple like Pad Thai or drunken noodles, or something more complex and unique, you can't go wrong. They are usually very busy around lunch so I'd recommend ordering ahead. They even have box-lunch specials. Go for the crab cheese - it's wonderful!
Food is good and the portion sizes are decent. I get the new policy of charging an extra buck for protein, prices are up everywhere, but at least put more than 3-4 tiny pieces of chicken in the meal.
First time at this particular location. Food was good I prefer my original Go! Sy Thai.
