Sorry for the late review. But last Sunday I ordered two peace chicken dinner with okra and Mac and cheese. ?♀️ my chicken was burned my okra was cold. I got all the way home on the west side and settled in open my bag and was so ? my ride was to tired to go back to this location in mid Town and I understood. I never had a problem with this chicken place before but that day wow so disappointed. I hope it will get better. I miss having that good hot fresh chicken and sides.

We waited 30 minutes for the food, and our server only came on time and said your food is coming. There was no one else sitting waiting for food. We LEFT!

Gus's has the best chicken in Detroit and it's not particularly close. I feel like it has almost become underrated with time, but it still holds up.Gus's is one of the only places where I enjoy White meat. The chicken is that juicy. The collard greens are also awesome. This chicken isn't at all like the standard fare around town. It's got a unique batter and taste that I've yet to find anywhere else.The staff is incredibly nice and your food comes out promptly with any sort of modifications you want.Again, there have been a lot of new options for food that have popped up around Midtown. Gus's is still one of the best around and needs to be checked out. Best chicken in Detroit

The little girl in the front had my food sitting for 20 mins when she finally got off Facebook and realized my food was sitting there the whole time and every time I call for pick up they say it’s walk in only

They need to shut this location down or get rid of their workers I went there today ordered a three-piece dinner and a two-piece dinner chess pie and fried green tomatoes when I tell you it was horrible the fried green tomato taste like it was a tomato paste the chicken was cooked you can tell it was cooked Frozen so it wasn't done all the way the skin was soft this was a horrible and I'm from Mississippi I eat it in Memphis all the time way better than this Detroit location they really need to do some about this well they're going to lose business fast
