I used to go here all the time as a kid with my dad, so I decided to take my kids to share this experience with my own daughters. It was so nostalgic. It didn't disappoint. My girls love the huge pancakes and my oldest enjoyed her omelet. Plus, I enjoyed my breakfast with the best side of thick juicy ham this is served in the city of Detroit. Period. Excellent experience

Ate a great veggie omelet. Reasonably priced, delicious. Monroe Street is being torn up, but the Ham Shop is still there. Not a great looking place, but the food was good.
