I highly recommend the Harbor House in Downtown Detroit. The atmosphere and staff were Outstanding. The best part was the FOOD!
Food was slow to arrive but very good when it got there. Service was okay. They could have communicated more regarding the delay. It wasn't very busy so not sure why it took over an hour for our food. It was cold in the main dining area when the door opened. I would suggest keeping the outside door closed so when the inside door is opened there isn't a rush of cold air.
Got to the restaurant and they did not grant our reservation and the kitchen was not taking any orders. Ridiculous!!!
Don't know if the food was good. They did not honor our reservation (yes we were on time) and told us it was a 40 minute wait. So went elsewhere.
looking forward to a location to eat on the way to the Detroit Lions game at Ford field. Too a long time to get our first drink. Food came one chicken sandwich was not thoroughly cooked, another got his chicken Ceaser salad with no chicken, steak bites overdone, requested medium well. On top of that fryer was down so no onion straws would come with my meal, somehow fries did, no offer for any reduction for incomplete meal. Plus, they have an automatic 20% gratuity which was not earned.
Under new ownership. Menu has been drastically minimized and many popular items are gone. No longer offer Salad/soup & side with entrees. I ordered meal at 6 and was served only bread still at 730. Paid for bar tab and left. The table next to me was vacated twice during this time as the fryer was out of service and no fried food was available. In a matter of 3 weeks this establishment has become unacceptable. The serving staff were doing their best, but they had no product to serve. I recommend it be avoided unless there is a dramatic rethinking by ownership of what they want this restaurant to be and how they are going to accomplish it.
Restaurant added a 20% gratuity for a party of 3 when the menu said that was for larger parties. Also got 1 menu when sitting down and never received bread and missing silverware
We arrived at 430 on Thanksgiving . It wasn't even that busy yet. We ordered the three seafood platter with crab legs, and she didn't tell us they were out of crab legs until she set the platter down in front of us so we didn't get the opportunity to order something else but we did get a credit for $12. The women's restrooms were in horrible shape. One stall was out of toilet paper. One stall had a broken lock on it and the toilet itself was shaky and there was toilet paper all over the floor. The men's room had water all over the floor and one stall was out of order/locked. We wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.
Terrible!!! Ordered 2 cups of lobster bisque as soon as we arrived, go to restroom. When we return, waitress says she didn't put it into the system, because depending on what we order, it might be included w our entrees order put it...comes back, we out of lobster bisque. Out of crab legs.... Asked for bread, we still waiting on it as you read this review! Asked for check, never brought it. Go find her, get it, charged us for the lobster bisque we never received. Remove it, give us the check back....now charged us for 3 lobster tail entrees instead of the 2 we did have. Horrible experience, food was a C- at best. Do not recommend.
A VERY busy Thanksgiving Day morning and our waiter ROCKED it!! A fun place close to the stadiums. We will be back!

Used it as a meeting point with friends before going into the lions game. Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, and our bartender Doreena was a lot of fun. She took great care of us!

Harbor House has a perfect lighting scheme for someone like me who enjoys a more relaxed atmosphere when dining. All of the dishes are seasoned just right, and the crab legs are generous in size and filling.
