Blah, this place is pretty much the chipotle of donut. You know how chipotle works right: you select a base, then they ask you what fixings you want, so are included and some cost extra, then *boom* you feel special because you got a food item exactly the way you wanted (and that why it costed more than if you would have just went to a competitor and got what they had as is). That is HMDS! Do you have craving for a chocolate cake donut, with strawberry glaze, and topped with better made hot chips, gummi bears, and candied bacon? They can make it on the spot! They actually take their time making the donuts too! They do keep some premise donuts which are typically affordable and are honestly some of the simple, sensible combos. Every now and then, they put a donut of the month that can be hit or miss. They had peanut butter and jelly donut that had me revisiting a couple times. Oh, and they also sell cookies, brownies, and Rice Krispie treats and guess what: you can custom make those too! The customization is their selling point. You want a donut your way because your way is the best then they will see to it that you are satisfied.

Ordered them through door dash. Got half a dozen doughnuts. Asked for raspberry filled, got a lemon filled. Asked for a birthday cake strawberry, got regular. Asked for an apple crisp, got a red velvet. I get you may have sold out, but dont have it online for someone to order it if it's not there. I got doughnuts I dont want.

Took the kids in for a donut, it turned into nearly 15 minutes of trying to figure out not only what donut. But what number of toppings, there are fare to many to list. If you can picture it on a donut or maybe not? They got it. Ridiculously good. Want a donut? But not the same ol donut..try this you won't be disappointed:

Let me paint the picture for you. It's a cold snowy January day. I'm 30ft in the air removing an elm tree on the Northside of 8 mile when my coworker mentions there is a donut shop with 99 cent coffee so at this point I'm already sold by the deal and marketing so we walk over on 10oclock break and the gentleman name monte who worked there hooked us up with 14 donuts for a damn good price and we headed back to work the point is monte deserves a raise and the experience was killer

This is no longer 24/7. The sign at the street says "open 24 hours" but a poster on the door shows only 7am to 7 or 8pm. I came here because dutch girl was closed early and saw that I had no option here either.

I loved the place on 8 mile rd. But the hours changed, the fresh donuts are great. The place is clean, employees very nice.But those donuts are as good as crispy creme if not better to me. Yummy
