I went for the first time a couple days ago and the food was ok. They had me wait a hour for a cup of gumbo (after saying it would only take 15 mins) and the chicken in the gumbo was so burnt it affected the overall taste/texture of the dish. I went back today to try and give them another chance so I placed the same order and they quoted me the same amount of time. I took a little longer and went in after 25 mins and they told me not only that my order couldn't be found but that they didn't have anymore gumbo. The woman at the front didn't offer any other solutions just told me they didn't have anymore and smiled at me until I left.

I ordered gumbo from here about 5 years ago when they were still on 8 mile and it was banging. Just ordered TODAY and it's disgusting. Disgusting to the point that I can't eat it. I ordered regular gumbo and CLEARLY was given the spicy one but the gumbo is still trash. Never again. The quality has hit bottom with them. It's clear they no longer care about flavor anymore. What a shame.

The young lady who works the counter handling food was very dirty the last time I was there. Message got back to the owner. I went back at the request of the owner. She says oh you the one took a picture of me and said I was dirty. I replied yes and you’re dirty again. She was so disrespectful there is no way I would eat you here again. She might stick a dirty finger in my food. Lobby wasn’t clean but she stays on her phone. Food has a great taste but prayer over it if feeling risky. FIRE HER!

The gumbo wasn’t 6 out of 10. The roux was a little bit loser than I like it, but the taste was good. The wait was too long for what the food was. I would give them another try, but I would order way ahead of time.

Absolutely worst overcharged non flavor seafood bag ever!!! They put a whole NON cut sausage in the boil, wanted extra $5 just to clean the shrimp ,none of the food had seasoning just dropped in a bag with sauce. I don’t recommend you to waste not only your taste buds but your money also!!!
