Our first time going to Aretha's Jazz Cafe and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and our server was truly great. The Core and their singer Marcel were an excellent fusion of R&B and Jazz. It was definitely worth the cost to attend. The venue is small and cozy.

Came for a Ballet and had a wonderful time. The drinks were not at all special for the price. The drinks were poorly made. Better off getting a bottle of beer than a cocktail of any kind.

I recently had the pleasure of performing at Aretha’s Jazz Café in Detroit, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant, the sound quality was excellent, and the staff was professional and welcoming. The audience energy made the night even more special, and the venue itself has such a rich musical vibe that truly honors Detroit’s jazz and soul legacy.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share music in such a legendary space, and I highly recommend Aretha’s Jazz Café to both performers and music lovers alike.

Great ambiance! Saw Michael Frank's and the show was excellent. I don't think there's a bad seat in the Music Hall. It's a small venue that's just big enough. Drink prices average around $15 with premium liquor around $20.

Beautiful club. The Sunday night drop-in jazz was top shelf. Chill vibe with great service right in the heart of downtown. ❤️

Free entry. Low parking rates. Nice variety of jazz artists on the open mic. Order food at the bar but she brings everything to the table swiftly and is friendly

We had a ladies night out and wanted to explore a new place in the city. We loved this charming and intimate stage setting. The architecture and decorative homage to Aretha was heartwarming. Her Grammys are on display. Service was splendid and we were impressed by the food and drinks. The sliders and salads did not disappoint. The bills did include a 20% tip which was a little confusing, but overall we had a nice experience.

I visited this establishment to attend a live jazz band performance I paid for on Eventbrite. The performance started at 7:30, and I got there at 8pm. Tickets were not checked and you could just walk in. Money wasted. Due to the extremely small space, there was no seating available, and was clearly over capacity as people were sitting in the three stairways. I had to stand just beyond the stairs. For those of us who had to stand, the views were blocked by gaudy curtains. Those who were seated were practically piled on top of each other. Two waiters walked past me three times before asking if I wanted anything, or to let me know that they would assist me in a moment. I left by 8:40. The couldn’t tell you how the food was. A menu was never offered.
