The greasy spoon when I was coming up. Now it's a place to sit and have a delicious home cooked meal... Salmon grits with scrambled eggs. Meatloaf mash and gravy with a side of corn. Waiting patiently for them to re-open. They're renovating.

Delicious food, especially the pancakes! Staff is really nice. Just great energy from customers as well. I grew up in this area. I’m so grateful that they’re still serving the community. ?

Jay's cafe , Grand River,burt Rd isn't the cleanest restaurant for sure , pricing is a little higher than it outa be for the place this owner has been here about 35 ? Ish years he's tired with the quality of food he puts out he can't raise prices any higher than they are irregardless of anything he needs to hire a internal deep cleaning service that will cover the entire place TO ME I'M TURNED OFF WHEN A KITCHEN UTENSILS BATHROOMS FLOORING SILVERWARE ETC ISN'T IN COMPLETE SANITARY CONDITIONS.. JAY IS TRYING I'M SURE HIRE A DEEP CLEANING SERVICE , IT'LL GO A LONG WAY WEAR CLEAN APPRONS.
This place is my go to for ALL things delicious!!! My wife and I love the salmon for breakfast but the meatloaf is glorious as well as the mashed potatoes... I haven't tried everything yet.... and they are ALWAYS BUSY... BUT ITS BEYOND WORTH IT!!!
