the ambience is nice, but sadly ruined by some of the rudest service staff i’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting
edit: also they serve their thick cream based soup cold, which i found shocking, as cold summer dishes are supposed to be light, not heavy
The atrium is a lovely space with natural light and relax seating. It is a great place to have a coffee. But, the pastries are surprisingly in such sad states, amid the fabulous atmosphere.
The texture of the croissant tastes of something straight out of a plastic box from a grocery store. The danish has no butter flavour. The scone is so dense that it may as well be called a cookie. Worst part, the center was not cooked which ends up as a mouthful of raw dough.
At this price point, a little more care is expected. Even a cheap croissant can be revived by 3 minutes in oven in the morning.
May be a lot of patrons are happy purely because of the nice atmosphere. It is unfortunate that the management does not recognize how this food is compared to other art museums in the world.
Have a coffee and enjoy the space but stay away from the pastries.

This is a great place to try out if you are:
-Hungry in the DIA
-Treating your girlfriend to a nice meal
-Looking to take a break from the DIA
Honestly seeing this place for the first time is a breath of fresh air. It’s like dining outside without the blaring sun, the bugs, and the wind blowing away your food. And honestly the prices were not outrageous especially for the atmosphere you are paying for. The service is wonderful and the food was great. Overall experience: 11/10
PS: looking to try the peach flatbread the next time I go ?

We stopped to get something to drink and sit for awhile before walking back to our hotel, the drinks were delicious and the food was tempting, but we choose to just have drinks. The decor was beautiful and the music was at a good volume.

I had the Kresge Club sandwich and Lavender Latte for lunch while attending the DIA. The food was really good and the wait time was only about 10 minutes which wasn't that bad considering it was a busy Saturday afternoon. I actually found the prices to be reasonable and standard for today's market. The staff were friendly and very efficient. They also serve alcohol and not just craft beers. They were running drink specials on Old Fashioned cocktails. It's in an atrium style courtyard so the atmosphere was pretty serene and calming.

Must have been there on a bad day. But my chips were stale, espresso was meh and no one was cleaning the tables so there were dirty dishes everywhere.Lovely place to sit and relax though
