Food was hot & very seasoned. Pecan waffle was great. Service was very good. Kool-aid was great. I love the art on the walls. I had ben back in the day & service was not good. But now it was great I most definitely will be going back

Good food! Good prices. The wait is long. The bloody mary drinks are good but not worth $12 they charge. The workers have attitudes sometimes. Nice spot.

Unclean bathroom (before 12p) makes you wonder about the food being served.

I've had this place on my radar ever since local news announced its opening back in 2015. Life circumstances prevented me from ever really giving this place a shot, but it never really left my mind as an aspirational Detroit To-Do. After a photoshoot at a nearby friend's house, I realized I was within walking distance from Kuzzo's and that today was The Day to finally knock it of the bucket list.

I ordered the standard chicken and waffles with their Kool-Aid and Oh My God was it worth the 10-year hypeup! The photo does not do the food justice- the chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and absolutely perfect when dunked in sweet maple syrup and rolled into a savory piece of fluffy waffle.

What was arguably better than the food was the staff. There's good people working inside Kuzzo's. As I shared my unique story with them, we laughed and shared our personal stories and what we were looking forward to in our lives. It felt like I was still at my friend's house, only this time, there's chicken and waffles involved.

My heart felt a bit lighter walking out of Kuzzo's, and that's the mark of a truly special place, and it's places like these that makes Detroit truly unique.

It's good food served by good people living in good neighborhoods, and I'll be back again much sooner than 10 years to have more of that good food.

After all the remodels and expanding the food just isn’t like it used to be. The food was better years ago. What we had today was mediocre at best. The chicken and macaroni had no flavor. I ordered smothered potatoes, they brought out plain because the gravy wasn’t ready for them to be smothered. I tried to eat the potatoes but they were dry and hard like they had been prepared the day before and rewarmed.
The server was nice and we didn’t wait long to be seated which were problems in years past.
The last issue was they use an electronic receipt system where the server told me the total but I never saw the itemized bill. I payed, added a tip, and had the system text me the receipt. Once I reviewed it, I discovered they already added 15% gratuity to the bill (for 3 people) so my additional tip was extra. The service nor the food was worth the first 15% let alone additional. They need to inform people or give them a printed receipt so they can see that upfront and make an informed decision. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t return.

Had a taste for some brunch and I made my way over here to try them out for the first time and I can say everything went well with this establishment. The food was good and cooked to perfection and the service was just right ; it didn't take long for the food to come out and the waitress was nice. The atmosphere was also not bad for it to have been a little crowded. I will make another visit in the near future.

Wheelchair accessibility: This is a wheelchair accessible establishment so no need to worry.

The food was overcooked. There was no urgency from the waitress. Worst experience from this place. There was a group of people (probably investors) crowding the place walking around.

We stumbled across this spot on our way to another spot and chose them instead. We went with the classic chicken and waffle and I must say the chicken was seasoned to perfection and crunchy. Now although I’m not a fan of the “big chicken wings” they were cooked to perfection and while my boyfriend said the best waffle he ever had I on the other hand wasn’t crazy about it. The two waffles could have been one in my opinion, I like a fluffier waffle little more dense not so flat, But the flavor of the waffle was on point. Drinks were ok, music was 🔥, and I wouldn’t say it was the cleanest but it wasn’t dirty. Definitely needed to wipe down some tables and chairs before seating us but all in all we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back again because I would surely drive from Pontiac for that chicken. 😂😂

I ordered on DoorDash (first time trying this after knowing about it for a while). It was a wait but it was worthwhile I give the red velvet waffle, hot beef sausage, eggs, grits and grape koolaid a 10/10.

It should not take 30 mins to be seated and 2 hours to get food. This place has gone down tremendously they need to close.

The light skinned chick that works the bar, never came back like she said, very unorganized, to much liquor for her, you shouldn't drink and work, because you will forget about your paying customers, so we got up and left.

My first and last time at Kuzzos….. I ordered Salmon croquettes with eggs and potatoes, as u see everything was burnt, I bit into an egg shell eating my eggs, I also had fried green tomatoes, eeeeeeew, I waited an hour and a half for this, waitress was nice but she was overwhelmed, the cook kept coming out looking now I know why my food was burnt…. Would really be a nice place if food was better and I did jam to the music!!!!!!

The food was banging, the staff was friendly, and the music was fire! The only snaffu we had, was my buddy ordered an extra wing with his waffle and didn't get it, and he brought it to our waitresses attention, asked for it to be removed from his bill and she said she would, but it didn't happen for some reason. Either way, I'd still come back because that was a minor offense in my opinion.
