I am extremely disappointed in my experience at Kuzzo’s . Me and my friend came for happy hour & would not return. Let’s start with drinks, we ordered the $30 flavored lemon drops and instantly regretted it when the bartender pulled out a premix and then squirted a crazy amount of the syrups in each glass. They were basically just syrup shots and disgusting. For that amount I expected her to actually MIX the drink, especially since it was completely empty in the restaurant. For food, I ordered the cheeseburger sliders, which weren’t even sliders, they served on mini Hawaiian rolls, and both could fit in one hand . My friend ordered the “salmon” bites, which are breaded in corn mill and literally taste like catfish, dry, no flavor. It’s like this place doesn’t care about the quality of anything. Tacked on the gratuity for bare minimum service. Worst happy hour I’ve experienced in a while.

Kuzzo's, unfortunately, is living off their reputation of years ago. Through past visits and other reviews, it should be noted that you will spend a lot of time here waiting for food regardless of the situation. We got there when they opened and witnessed not one dish come out within the first hour. The employees seemingly do not prepare before opening - so, don't show up until at least 11AM on the weekends. When we went, they weren't even prepared to serve either chicken or waffles and said we could order any "breakfast item" - i.e. eggs.

I placed in online order for 8 wings, soul rolls and fries over an hour ago, I received a text notification saying that my order was ready. I arrived, told the host that I ordered online she disappears to the back and comes out 10mins later with someone else’s food. She doesn’t say anything to me about my order. She later comes to me and say they are just about to drop your wings. I was told by Autumn that Kuzzo values their dine-in guest above online orders. Unfortunately I can’t wait another hour for food so I request a refund. I was then told I would have to contact DoorDash however the number attached to my email to request a refund is Kuzzo. I contacted Kuzzo and spoke with Autumn which was another 30mins. The food is not worth all this stress. If you’re not setup to take online orders; then don’t take them. I’m currently still on hold waiting for a refund. It’s a hard lesson learn, but I will not ever support a business that has no value in customer service.

SUPER WEIRD AND RUDE BARTENDER so we go in on their first $2 Tuesday the bartender tells us we can sit at the bar we decide not to because the chairs didn’t look comfortable it seemed like she caught an attitude immediately like her tone and demeanor changed, she literally took 30 minutes & did 50 other things beside make our drinks and nobody else was at the barChicken wings & fries took 40 minutes & people who came in after still received foos before usIt’s like they want you to come in for the specials but the customer service is poor and they damn near want you to be in there from 4-7 by making you just sit and waitThey need to do better with with their staff then maybe they could get some traffic and keep customers

Whew!! Amazing vibe overall! I enjoyed the 90s r&b on blast while I enjoyed a great meal along with a mimosa flight. Our bartender was so nice and recommended all the good stuff! Try the soul food egg rolls — you won’t be disappointed. I will always make this a go to when I visit Detroit.

I wish they was an option for ZERO STARS! I order food on my lunch break 2 Lamb chop meals red velvet waffle and salmon croquettes with grits with my meals. I ordered soon as they opened so when I got my order I was missing a full order of lamb chops and the girts that comes with the meals. I called some lady who answered told me they ran out of lamb chops now I’m thinking wouldn’t you just modify the damn order then and the girts. They are horrible and the people who work there are horrible don’t apple for the job if you not going to do it right. I will never order from there again and make sure my workers don’t either KUZZOS OWNER SHOULD BE DISAPPOINTED HE PROBABLY NOT BECAUSE HE MAKING MONEY THAT WILL CHANGE REAL SOON

My wife and I went here after Chime said don’t. I can say the waitress was definitely on top of her job. The cooks on the other hand not so much, we asked for our chicken well done with the size of the wings they should do that anyway. This experience surpassed my other visits there. Carol was our waitress & she was great & professional. The BigRed Waffle & chicken wings were delicious. The waffle could have been cooked a little more & they were out of sugar substitutes. But, I would come again. The ambience was nice.
