I bought 2 dozen tamales. 1 dozen chicken and 1 dozen cheese jalapeño. I was a little discouraged because I found out that the cheese jalapeño had to be pre-ordered but when I picked up my order the next day I was not let down! The chicken tamales were dry though and that was discouraging. They have really great salsa but its too spicy for me. The cheese jalapeño tamales were a hit and I look forward to more as long as they are not made with lard or pork products. I also love that they are hand made and not machine rolled!

La Gloria Bakery on Bagley in Detroit has the best tamales in town. My grandfather has been buying them there for many decades. The molasses pastries have always been my favorite since I was a boy. I love this bakery and I hope it stays there forever
