Very delicious sweets, but ordering a Cuban sandwich is another story! 1h05min to prepare 4 sandwiches!! Terrible delay and calm to prepare some bread, how slow!! Terrible sandwich service!! Otherwise everything very well.

Their strawberry cheesecake is my favorite. You can’t go wrong no matter what you pick. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plus it offers some old world charm. One of my favorite stops when we are visiting Detroit.

Great food and great service, cudos to Ms. Jaunita! I've been going here since 2013. I learned from a coworker that you unravel the corn shell off tamales, lol - don't eat the corn shell. Been in love ever since. Baked goodies are top notch! Open early!

Went in while waiting for a my table at a nearby restaurant. Loved the selection of goodies to choose from and how you got to walk through and grab whatever you want. Prices were great too. However, the quality of the goodies I got was subpar. Every cookie was rock hard and dry, and the empanadas filling was good but the rest was also very dry and difficult to eat. It’s not likely I’ll be going back unless it’s first thing in the morning when hopefully the food is fresher.

Last two times they close early. Today 7:15 guy outside says we’re closing early. Any times I did make it in, though they were out of churros. He always just looks and acts, unhappy. Not worth the trip unless you’re just walking over from the good restaurants.

As a kid, I remember getting so excited when my dad came home with a large white bag of La Gloria Cookies... 30 years later, I get to see the same excitement on my own kids face when I walk in with a big bag of treats. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this place is a top notch bakery. Cookies, cakes, churros, donuts, sweet breads, they've got it all. In 30 years, I've never been disappointed. Thanks La Gloria!
I was looking for authenticCannolis.what I bought for $2.00 a piece was a pastry shell with a non-dairy whipped filling. It wasn't very sweet. I wish I would have tried some other pasties or cookies.

It was inferred I was lying when I called to tell them about the coconut macaroons. Just wanted them to check them out, not that I was complaining of the $1.50 I lost. "No they are $1.25!," I was told. " Ok sir you are missing the point. The point is, go check them out and don't sell them, I would break my window if I threw it my window is all." In addition to this rock I bought, I spent $15 there, hoping something in the box of goods I had would be edible. Negative. What a disappointment to a business that sold quality at one time and now is all old and stale.
