La Terraza is a lively Mexican restaurant in Southwest Detroit that’s known for its authentic food and fun atmosphere. Located on West Vernor Highway in the Mexicantown area, it serves traditional Mexican dishes, seafood, and classic favorites for lunch and dinner.
I ordered tacos and fajitas, and the food was flavorful and very satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Their seafood dishes and sizzling fajitas are especially popular on the menu.
The atmosphere is lively and energetic, and sometimes there’s live music or entertainment, which makes the experience more fun than a typical restaurant visit.
Overall, La Terraza is a great place if you want authentic Mexican food and a vibrant dining experience in Detroit.

The service was great, the ambience was great as well but I was just disappointed with the food. The food came out like warm and it lacked so much flavor. The arachera had no seasoning whatsoever. The flautas that came with the pozole Jalisco was cold. You get a can of soda which means no free refills. Maybe I gotta give it another try. Mi Pueblo seems to be the best on my list so far cause their food never disappoints.
I’ve been going here ever since I was a kid, they have excellent service, food is great, live music makes it very fun, totally recommend !

I paid admission to hear a salsa group, the group only played from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., when the advertisement said they would start at 10:30 p.m., and they also charged you for things you didn't consume.

It is a nice place, family friendly.
Good family environment. Kids were dancing. Food was good.
Pleased with our meals at lunch time. Good tacos. Best menudo. Spacious and clean restrooms. Don't judge a book by it's cover ! 😊
