Drinks were good! Food was just ok. Schnitzel was kind of dried out and portions were small for the price. I would probably stick to the fries if I really wanted a snack with my drink in the future.
I stopped by Lagerhaus No. 5 on a cold day, but the inside was pleasant enough. It’s a cool space, and I bet it really shines in the summertime. The menu being shown on the analog flipper display is pretty cool, and it’s a fairly short menu. I think that’s a good thing; a small menu often means more effort is being given in fewer items. I tried the German Pilsner, which was very clean and refreshing. They’re definitely doing good things here, and I’d love to visit during nicer weather. I’ll have to bring some friends along next time.
The IPA was lacking bitterness and a bit too much caramel finish on the back-end. On the other hand, the pils was perfect and infinitely drinkable. The spaetzel with mushroom sauce hit the spot as did the bretzel, both came in easy to consume portions. The kickrail at the bar is lower than the stringer on the seat and I love it.
fantastic beer and great staff
They make their beer! It was so good, $5 for a tall glass. It was one of the best beers I have tasted in a while. Highly recommend this place!
Food is bad. Wouldn’t come here to eat. Chicken tenders were dry and only gave a few. Not worth the price. Would only come here for drinks with friends and sitting outside. Staff was friendly though.
Food is decent but kind of expensive.
I had the Jaegerschnitzel with spaetzle and crispy brussel sprouts - it was delicious!
Used Lagerhaus No 5 for my daughter’s wedding rehearsal party.
Guest were both German and American. The back section was all set up for us. It was so easy to work with staff and guest to obtain their drinks. German food was provided by DeutschToit and excellent. Wonderful venue to include German and American guest. Price very reasonable and staff excellent. Awesome place for a special event.
Came here for lunch, got the Gulasch Special with Spätzle noodles, it was very good! Came back for dinner, got the Jägerschnitzel and hubs got the Schnitzel Teller, everything was delicious. I really liked their sauerkraut. I'm so happy they have an Altbier!

The atmosphere, fresh drafts and authentic German food (schnitzel!) make this place a gem. Music on Fridays.
Great beer! Cool people, atmosphere, and steins.
#48 on the SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour.
TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!!!
It ain't a rock concert, the people in the back can hear it fine, in fact, it's all you can hear. We tried to converse, sitting two feet apart, and had great difficulty doing so.
It's too bad because it's a really nice place. Open, plenty of seating inside & out. Long communal tables.
The beer offerings are not many. Only five brewed in-house with three guest taps. There are several coolers with single cans & bottles available to drink on premises or take home. Mostly German but with Jamaican, Ukrainian, English available.
Wonderful German food now on the menu! Great service, outdoor seating and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Great gathering space beer garden. Good German food
