So good! The octopus was the best octopus dish I've ever eaten - it was so tender with a slight crisp and so flavorful. I didn't even get a picture before we dug into it. The pork collar was a great blend of textures and flavors - I got extra bread just to have a delivery vehicle for the peach conserva in this dish. The croquettes were a must too, they packed so much mushroom goodness in them. We got 3 small plates and 4 large plates, which was more than enough for 4 people. Will be coming back again.

I want to warn people before they make the same mistake I did. The menu looked fine — the most expensive item I saw was $64, and one steak was listed as “MP” (market price). I ordered it, expecting something reasonable.
When the bill came, the steak alone was $141. The waitress later said she mentioned it was $140, but I never heard that. For that kind of money, you’d expect something amazing — instead, the steak was mostly fat, with very little actual meat.
The rest of the food was just okay, nothing memorable, and certainly not enough to make me want to come back — especially after feeling blindsided by the price.
Overall, the experience left me disappointed, frustrated, and hungry. If you don’t want to risk overpaying for low quality, I’d suggest avoiding this place.

I went to Lena Restaurant and the food was just okay — nothing special. The main problem was that they didn’t tell us the prices before we ordered, and when the bill came it was way higher than we expected. It felt misleading and disappointing. Definitely not a good experience, and I wouldn’t go back

We had a work dinner here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Our servers, especially Rocio and Jay were fabulous, although when I told them this they gave credit to the entire staff. Shout out to the whole team. I am not exaggerating when I say each and every dish we had was creatively interesting and also so incredibly delicious! Kudos to the chef and kitchen for delivering some of the best food I’ve had in a long time!

A buzzing restaurant with a fabulous menu. The vibe is quite noisy and the food is delicious. Servings are generous… we had a large table,and you’ll need it as the plates come out and it’s all on! Absolutely loved the service as well. Be sure to book as we dined at 9.30 just to get a table … well worth it as it’s a definite 5 star

What a wonderful experience. Came here with my best friend to celebrate my birthday. We felt welcomed right from the beginning. Service and food was top notch, our aperol spritz was great too! Unique delicious fun new restaurant in town. The owner took the time to introduce himself, which made us feel very welcome. Love the whole place. Great staff working together pitching in and creating flavorful different dishes. Keep up the great work, we will be back.

There really hasn’t been anything I’ve eaten that I didn’t like or love. Parking can be a pain sometimes if there’s some event going on downtown so if it’s your first time going - read up about the parking situation.

Incredible! As lovers of Basque food and drinks, this one’s been on our list for a while and we finally made it out for my partner’s birthday. The kitchen-adjacent high tops are such a fun experience to get a peek into the kitchen, where they put so much care into each dish. Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to come back, especially for that off-menu burger we caught a glimpse of.

Leña represents that incredible blend of technical cookery, innovative dishes, and welcoming hospitality. From the tuna crudo to the octopus, each dish was prepared with care. Their cocktail menu is also packing a punch, we highly recommend the Spanish espresso martinis.
Overall 5/5, this is one of the best spots in Detroit and deserves to be on your must try list.
