“Undiscovered” gem in a growing area of the city! Open kitchen / hearth area provide ambience with bar seating directly adjacent it. Menu is relatively small but packed with a variety of small appetizers through entrees that are well prepared, visually appealing with excellent flavor. Greatest of all was the service provided - attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Jade, our attendant, was a pleasure to engage during our meal. Will be a repeat customer!!!
Always great food and drinks They surprise us with the main every time we pick However they should add more appetizers, more tspanish style tapas
We visited on 1/3 for dinner and enjoyed all of our dishes. We had the Piquillo Rellenos, which was both lovely in appearance and so refreshing to eat. We loved the heat of the pepper on the top too. We also had Albuia Blancas. The navy beans were so good, didn't expect the hearty warm taste of them. The calamari added a nice salty flavor, and it was fried so lightly. I loved how the beans created the bottom layer and the calamari circled the plate atop the beans. I took a picture of both of the above dishes, as they were both appealing to look at. Our last dish of Pescado Alaparilla was very tasty, however was not the prettiest dish. I think I would make the suggestion to maybe cut the potatoes in rounds and fry them and maybe layer them along the top of the fish? It really just looked like random fried potatoes tossed onto the butterflied fish. Truly, it would level up the meal if the fish came out appealing like the other dishes did. Our dessert was the apple cake. OMFG. This is what will make me come back here. It was so perfectly moist, spongey with the light apple flavor. With the vanilla ice cream on top, it was chefs kiss. All in all, it was a lovely experience. The drinks were tasty, the waitress was very kind with lots of good recommendations and the food was delicious and satisfying. I look forward to coming back when the menu changes over for the next season and more so when the summer produce splendors are added into the rotation.
Lena was a perfect meal from beginning to end. The crab stuffed pepper was amazing! They're homemade sausage was probably the best I've ever had! Every dish was perfectly prepared with lots of flavor. Their meatball had great flavor! I would definitely eat here again. The staff was accommodating, knowledgeable, warm, and inviting.
It was our second dinner at Lena, we were served by friendly and knowledgeable staff, the cocktails were exquisitely crafted, simple foods are elevated to a delicacy by masterful grilling, and creative use of Spanish spices. Every bite and sip is a trip to Spain.
Enjoyed a cozy meal with fabulous service at Lena last week! The sausage entree, crab stuffed peppers, and salt cod were all highlights this visit.
Leña was great. They were so accommodating, especially since I had to change the reservation last minute. It was super sweet and the waiter, Kyle was attentive.
The dishes we tried were fresh, wonderfully flavorful, and clearly Spanish while prioritizing local ingredients and maintaining creative flair. I found the wine selection to be very good, pairing excellently with the food. Service was great, our server Theresa was especially superb in walking through menu items and wine pairings. Excellent meal overall, I look forward to dining there again.
Excellent Service, SharablePlates and Drinks! We have been here at least 6 times and it never disappoints.
Dined at Lena for the first time and will definitely be back. Food was delicious, loved the atmosphere.

We were tremendously disapointed with Lena. We have heard a lot of good things but honestly it did not add up. The routine now with fine dining restaurants is to order everything at once so the kitchen can course the food. Since I had to park the car (blocks away) and join my party a few minutes after; we had not had enough time to determine what we wanted when asked for our drinks and full dinner order. We only gave the first two items and drink orders for the table. We ordered 2 mixed drinks, and a bottle of wine. Wine came first and was served to the 2 people that were starting with that. Next came the first 2 items we ordered. Warm olives, with a cold delicate pepper stuffed with bluecrab is not complementary. Additionally, our mixed drinks had not arrived until a few minutes after the food. I definitely lost my faith in their coursing strategy. When I finally worked up the nerve to place the rest of the order, the next 3 items came out all together, meatballs, calamari, and some spanish cheese on a stick with store bought summer sausage (reminiscent of a bloody mary garnish), I remarked that the meal was not being coursed at all. I was told by my waitress that It was essentially my fault, and that they would wait to fire the last course. Which then took incredibly long, which I do blame the server for, but the rest I blame on the kitchen as It was apprently rookie day and it felt like once the order comes in everyone pushes food out the window as quick as possible. It was only on the ride home I realized that the cute cushy couch seating that was also kind of awkward and uncomfrtable was not the theme of the restaurant... but that they had sat us in the bar not in the main dining room. We made our reservations 1 month in advance. Anyhow what a disappointment. I feel swindled out of my money and regretting a dining experience that we were looking forward to.
Like the tapas idea and fine with the linited menu. The food was good, but it should "pop."
We had an amazing experience at Leña from start to finish. The ambience was beautiful and welcoming, and every single dish we tried was delicious, especially the potato croquettes, which were incredible. Their mocktails were also fantastic and thoughtfully crafted. Our server, Rocio, truly made the evening special. She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My aunt's primary language is Spanish, and being able to converse with Rocio made her feel so comfortable and made the whole experience even more wonderful. Service was quick without ever feeling rushed, and the staff were incredibly accommodating with our timeline to help ensure we made it to our event on time. Overall, a perfect dining experience. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Food is outstanding! They have a great spanish wine list and cocktails. The reason for a 4 star is the parking issue. The have one small lot that they will reimburse parking, but it is shared and may have 10-12 spots. All of the street parking nearby is residential permit only after 6pm. I do highly recommend eating here because the food is outstanding! We really enjoyed the stuffed piquollo peppers, croquettes, navy beans and cheesecake! Whatever you do, don't skip the beans or the cheesecake!
Excellent service and meal. Great drinks. Validates parking in same structure. Kid friendly.
