If you’re in Detroit and looking for an unforgettable meal, I can’t recommend Lena enough. The food was absolutely excellent from start to finish — the carrots and sweet potatoes were especially memorable (seriously, don’t skip them!). Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor.

The staff is just as wonderful as the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you can, try to get a table by the kitchen. It adds such a fun, energetic vibe to the experience. And if you get a chance, say “hi” to Bella!

Already looking forward to my next visit.

We shared 4 meals the carrots and beets were outstanding. The pork sausage was also good. The strip steak however was awful. For something listed as market price you're expecting it to be an over the top dish however it came out raw and cold inside. They took it back and re cooked it and it came back hard on the outside and medium rare on inside. So the cook was a little better but it was so hardened it was hard to eat. 15% was taken off of the 150 dollar price point but we didn't even eat most of it because it wasn't worth it.

Came here for dinner and drinks. Waited 20 minutes after being seated at our reserved table to even get drink service. Ordered the most bitter sangria in my life. Listened to the spiel from the waitress about each small plate, seemed more sales pitch than a reasonable explanation why anyone would spend that much for a mushroom sitting on a piece of bread. I was pretty much over the exercise after half finishing the sangria and wondering what kind of snacks they had at the corner store across the street.

Second visit and both have been excellent. Great service and food. Last visit had sweet potatoes with chestnut puree, pomegranate, chorizo and lots of herbs. Melt in your mouth octopus with white beans and a wonderful salad. There was a great crowd and the place deserves to be more crowded! Highly recommend going.

This was an excellent find in the wide array of dining options within Detroit. The ambiance is cozy and professional. The service was excellent, our server did an excellent job of informing us of the options we could choose from without making us feel rushed.

We ordered the Butifarra, the Albondigas, the Batatas and one other dish whose name is not on the menu online. Everything was excellent.

This is probably one of my favorite finds in Detroit alongside of Chartreuse (thus far). I will 100% be coming back to this place in the future.

Beyond disappointing. We tried 4 different items, typical when my boyfriend and I try a new restaurant and we truthfully couldn't even enjoy one of the items that were given to us. At the fourth item we had to let the server know that the fish was way too salty and we were not interested in anything else that this restaurant could offer us. The salad was so bitter, and at best the meatballs were so average. Trader Joe’s has better.

I was really looking forward to this, as my parents gave us a gift card to come visit this place and many people had positive recommendations, but when we came and tried it, we couldn't even enjoy one of the four dishes that we were given to us. The people were kind and they tried their best to accommodate us, but honestly, the food was not even close to matching the price. We would not come back again.

Great service from Mike & Nolan at the bar. Had the sausage, grilled beats and achicoria. Everything was terrific, but the grilled sweet potato stole the show. Highly recommend this place. Love the open kitchen!

Only issue was that they had a heating issue so we were a little bit cold but it was a great experience still. It was our Second time there in the past year and the food and service has been amazing. One of the best in Detroit.

Went for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday evening; we sat at the bar tables connected to the open kitchen… best seat in the house. We were able to watch the chefs prepare everything and interact with them - they were so lively and personable. Our server gave some excellent recommendations for apps and entrees. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks (fiesta jardin, un fumador, Valencia G&T); then ordered 4 apps plus 2 entrees (blue crab piquillo, pintxo de txampis, brandada de bacalao, achicora, swordfish, alubias blancas). My favorite bite was the braised mushrooms with Brie and quince jam on grilled baguette. Also loved the swordfish with the amazing & tangy mojo Rojo sauce and octopus which was so tender - seasoned to perfection. And how could you not like potatoes bravos. Perfect crisp outside and pillow soft inside. Mouthwatering.

Every bite from appetizer to the larger entrées were delicious. In addition to having excellent food, everyone truly made it a point to acknowledge and look after us for this special occasion. We finished the meal with a 2oz pour of sherry, cheesecake and they brought out the decadent chocolate sorbet with a little birthday candle AND a sample the delicious new vermouth. Hubby declared this his new favorite restaurant.

We were on time for our reservation and greeted and seated immediately. We sat near the open kitchen where you can see the Cooks working while the prepare the dishes on the menu. This restaurant cooks with a Spanish point of view in terms of preparations & flavors. All of our dishes were well prepared and delicious. Brandada with fritters and pickled green tomatoes were a great start. Then, Batatas-grilled sweet potatoes, chestnut purée, pomegranate vinaigrette, puffed rice and chorizo were insanely good! Alchicoria-chicories dates, pascualina cheese, maple sherry vinaigrette and roasted hazelnuts were a solid salad option. Next, Pez espada-grilled swordfish skewer , mojo rojo, braised and charred leeks, cloaked with a sheath of Lardo was a stroke of genius! We finished with dark chocolate gelato with sea salt. First time here, definitely will be back!
