So I ordered the smack wings off uber eats, the photo looked bomb! When I got it. It’s literally baked wings with Franks hot sauce. They’re also super tiny! Like when you first get that frozen bag from Walmart before u learned they shrink! The 4 cheese macaroni is just that and nothing else. No flavor, no taste, just cheese and visible pepper. The greens were okay but the stalk turned me off. They fries were good, maybe would of been better hot. This a no for me

Decent product needs better management! I really wanted to spare them but the fact that someone thought it was ok to put dirty looking fries in my carry out container speaks volumes. The fries looked like oil hadn't been changed EVER! Then after I waited 20 minutes I was told to pick a different side because they were out of Mac and Cheese. If they put an online ordering system in place or answer the phone, maybe these type problems can be eliminated. I drove 25 minutes to visit this place because my cousin kept talking about their turkey chops. Poor experience for me. I wish I could post a picture of those fries. Just nasty!!!!!!!!!

The wait time was NOT bad, by this time the kinks were ironed out. Food was delicious! I tried my best to get the fire on the plate, I thought that was pretty cool. The lamb chops were beyond delicious. However, I think they're a little over priced. Like they literally could be considered lamb chop bites, that's how much meat was on them. Staff was very friendly. Definitely will be going back. Cheesecake was not so good though, I got the black bottom one.

Food is to expensive not to be good the corn is mushy almost like mash potatoes (over cooked) the Turkey chops are fried to hard and the koolaid was terrible way to much sugar. The only good thing was the mash potatoes $38 gone done the drain

Went today,after church.Ordered Orange Roughy,cream corn,mashed potatoes and a side of dressing.Strawberry lemonade was liquid Sugar...Dressing and potatoes were way too salty,couldn’t even eat it.The Fish didn’t taste like orange roughy to me. $50 wasted...I don’t think there will be a next time for me.

Way to much for the dinners.... if u gonna charge that kinda price please don't let the to go containers look like tv dinners!!!!! The mac n cheese... (excellent).... mashed potatoes (?).....MEATLOAF .... (good)..... all that b4 I found a black strand of fake hair in mashed potatoes....?????.... I give all sort of reviews and you can look at my history so this is in no way to sabotage them.... but the truth is the truth??

I order on Ubereats my order was cancelled, I made a trip to the restaurant and waited 30 minutes for my order. Someone ordered catfish after me and got their order before I did in fact everybody after me recvd their orders. I wont be going back!!! The greens was too salty. And no compensation for the wait time!!!

After the reviews about them I finally got a chance to try. I’ve tried before when it was located in the eastern market but wasn’t successful. So decided to do ubereats since reviews of customer service wasn’t good. So order 2 fried Cornish hen meals one with Mac and cheese and yams. The other with greens and mashed potatoes. One strawberry banana pudding. The pudding wasn’t in the bag so ubereats refunded me. The sides were good I enjoyed all 4. The Mac and cheese had the right cheeses and was seasoned.The Cornish hens had too much breading but they were decent. I might try again the same way ubereats.

Heard rave reviews so I decided to try it. Everything I ordered (Seafood Mac and cheese; Turkey wing dinner with candied Yams and greens and a side of dressing was good. Also tried the strawberry banana pudding for dessert. It's not free, bill over $70. Everything was good. Go early and beat the line.

First of all I thought it was just the downtown location but after that one closed temporary so I thought that I would give it another try so I went to the one 8mile across Telegraph and the same thing happens Customer service is terrible and the Drew is very rude to his staff and customers!! Courteous staff and fast service. Orange roughy and Amish wings were seasoned and cooked just right. The sides were flavorful and delicious; mac, yams, and greens. You won’t be disappointed. I will be ordering from here at least once a week.

First time customer, always excited to try new soul food from a PoC from my neighborhood. I also consider myself a foodie. I love all types of food, and my pallet is experienced. With that being said, I don’t appreciate over priced food that taste mediocre. Although the menu shows a wide variation of items, they didn’t actual have those items available. The list of food items they ran out of was close too 13 items. Anywho, I purchased 1 dinner, which included pot roast, Mac n cheese and dressing. Bland, bland and just not good. I paid $30 for 1 plate, serving size was enough for 1 person. I’m not sure if I’m willing to spend more money trying any other items from this establishment. Customer service was on point, but not enough for me to come back. I really was hoping for a better experience.

My husband and I went to check them out as we LOVE soul food, I had the fried wings, Mac & cheese, greens with a side of yams. First of all the wings had no seasoning & we’re not fresh, the Mac and cheese was not something that I would purchase again!!! My greens and yams were delicious though. My husband had the baked chicken, it was seasoned, his green beans were excellent, and he enjoyed his pinto beans. I will try other menu options and give more feedback

This place just opened a carry out on 8 mile last week. I think they were not prepared for the customer base. The pick up was all over the place, unorganized and the wait was very long (an hour and half). I specifically requested NO ONIONS (due to an allergy) on made to order $46 plate food and I received with scallions garnished (I had to pick them off).The food was actually good (why I gave 3 stars instead of 2) but extremely rich. Unfortunately that richness caused restroom problems. Our bill was $132 (2 entrees/1 appetizer/2 lemonades)...so the problems we incurred were frustrating taking into consideration the money we spent on a carry out. I hope they work out the kinks it's black-owned and I would like to support again in the future (but not now). The best of my order was the Strawberry Lemonade .....one of the best I have tasted in a long time (homemade).
