Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken

My brother had recommended this place several times, and I’d been looking forward to trying it for months. The counter employee was very pleasant, which I appreciated. They even allowed me to sample the green beans—unfortunately, they were bland and tasted like they came from a can. I decided to go with the potato wedges and rice instead, and also added a coleslaw.

Eager to try the food, I began eating in the adjacent parking lot. Sadly, the chicken was dry, tough, lukewarm, and reminiscent of grocery store deli chicken. The rice was overly salty and lacked any real flavor beyond its yellow coloring. The biscuit was also hard and dry.

The only redeeming items were the potato wedges, the coleslaw, and the ketchup. My brother mentioned he usually visits the Flint location, where the food is always hot and fresh—clearly a much better experience than the one I had here.

Second time ordering from Lee's thru the Grubhub app. BOTH TIMES we were missing items. I don't understand the incompetence of this place! It's only a few items, how can you forget... And twice in a row! And their chicken... Yuck! It's nothing like chicken shack, where you at least think it's somewhat homemade. These chicken strips were straight out of Purdue frozen section at Kroger! I will never return or order again. I'd rather eat chicken shack chicken from a dirty fry pan!

Also this is not the fault of the delivery service obviously!

Don't believe the reviews, they're not real!

My 80 year old grandma doesn't have a smartphone so he isn't allowed to place an order here so I tried to place it online for him (they don't allow phone calls orders) and the process is heinous they don't even accept Google or Apple pay and want you to manually type alllll your information to eat FAST FOOD do better.

Surprised about the livers and gizzards!!!! The rice, loved it!!!! Definite fast food splurge!

Third time at a Lee's could not be happier with dinner and service was A+! Shout out to Tamara and the cooks for hooking me up.

First time here. Had online order. Friendly quick service. Tasty chicken dinners.

The atmosphere only got 3 stars because it’s fast food. The dining room has been very clean every time I’ve been there. The food is delicious! We had them cater a grad party and everyone raved about the food! Everything we’ve had has been delicious and well priced.

Drive thru or dine in. There are plenty of parking spots for dining in. The dining room is not very inviting with hard, cheap chairs and tables. No extra napkins or condiments available on the floor.

The service was excellent.

The food was priced right but certainly not worth running back to. While the chicken was juicy and plentiful the breading lacked any flavor. I ordered 'baked beans' they were clearly pork 'n beans straight from the can. The green beans and corn were also straight out of a can. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious with plenty of flavor. The biscuits were also well done and tasty. The bun on my chicken sandwich was not soft and didn't have any flavor to it...think plain ol' day old white bread.

The prices are good, the service is excellent, the store is open till 10pm but I've tried much better chicken and side dishes at other chicken restaurant locations.

They have the cleanest restroom I've been in for awhile. Restaurant wise. Very clean environment VERY. VERY!!!

New favorite chicken spot. Haven't had order out fried chicken in years until I found Lee's. Wish ordering was easier, but the staff is awesome.

I love this place as you get good food for a small amount of money. Place is clean, service is quick and all around awesome.

Hot, juicy, fresh. Will eat this again soon!
