Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken

Heard about this place from a friend. Thought I’d try it out. I must say I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time.
Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken must be famous for being the most bland fried chicken restaurant in America.
I asked for spicy tenders, when handed my order I thought this doesn’t look very spicy. Took a bite and went back to the counter to ask them if this spicy and they said, their spicy has a small “kick” to it. Yeah… maybe for old hawite people, but certainly no kick for the rest of America.
I’d rather have been better off going to Popeyes which leaps and bounds above this place (in terms of flavor, maybe not customer service). Actually, even Buscemi’s liquor store fried chicken is a cut above this place.

I’ll just stick to Basha’s on 13 and Hoover, thank you very much :)

Ordered two piece chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw on one and Mac and cheese on the other. Never got the Mac and cheese. Cost $18. Pricey for what I got

First time trying Lee’s Famous Chicken and I do have to say it is very good! Ordered my food through drive-through, the staff member was very kind and let me take my time to look through menu and also gave me recommendations. Service was really quick! Definitely will be back!

I recently had an amazing experience at Lee’s Famous Chicken that I just have to share! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The chicken was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The sides were equally impressive, with perfectly seasoned fries and coleslaw that complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal. Overall, Lee’s Famous Chicken exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to go back. Five stars all the way!

Not good.

Stopped there for first time for lunch, service was quick, restaurant appeared clean, Chicken was excellent light breading and juicy meat .mashed potatoes and gravy were also good, only disappointment was the macaroni and cheese ,was kinda blah and dry but all in all a good lunch .much better than a bologna sandwich 🥪

Maybe they aren't known for their chicken sandwich. But that's what we ordered, 1 spicy and 1 regular. Chicken tasted bland, and honestly had the texture of something that was just warmed up in the microwave. Mac and cheese wasn't very good either. Maybe we will have to try something else on their menu

Moving from Portage Mi. Lees has been a staple restaurant in our family for years. However,THIS one is by far THEE BEST we’ve EVER visited. Tamara is the sweetest most kind manager. I thought we were missing our corn & when I called she was so nice my husband went back & she replaced it. When my husband got back home we found the missing corn & I felt so bad I called & apologized. Tamara was so nice she was very understanding & assured me it was ok. The food was amazing but the customer service matched the amazing food which makes them THEE BEST around! I pray blessing over this establishment & I encourage anyone who wants good customer service & food to stop in & experience the kindness this world is in need of right now.?God Bless You All!?
