Mama said don't shop hungry and she ain't never lied!!!40 plus dollars down the drain. Is it a culture thing or what?Who in the world feeds or eats sugar greens? Greens are supposed to be savory. If I want dessert I would have bought it. This is why black people have diabetes and heart disease because yall don't know how to prepare or cook! Lesson well learned to take my money to the grocery store and prepare my own meals, that way I'm not complaining online about something I could have easily avoided. And wasting time because I could have been doing something else.Next...the catfish was wonderfully crunchy and very bland no seasons, couldn't eat it.Macaroni and cheese was interesting it look nasty but it taste alright, it was interesting. I wouldn't buy it again. The seafood gumbo...was ok cold I couldn't eat it that way.Couldn't tell you bout the cornbread either. So pretty much I drank the pink lemonade which was absolutely ?. Was not overly sugary or too tart it was wonderful. It's time for a vernors my stomach feels weird and i feel nauseous right now.Lessons are met to be learn and today was that day I learned mine.Vegetarian options: We know as vegetarians or pescatarians veggies are not suppose to have sugars/sweetners in it. But to each to his own kitchen. Just yuck.

I oder the seafood gumbo last week mostly shrimp and barley saw any other seafood. It was salty cornbread dry no moist. I will definitely not be back for what I paid $25 not worth it!

I ordered the Gumbo Supreme via DoorDash. Cornbread muffins were burned and shrimp tasted like they were just plain cocktail shrimp tossed in. The chicken overcooked and the dish was just overall mediocre and not worth the $18 spent.I was truly expecting the old school quality from the original store on Gratiot but was sadly let down. Will not be ordering again.

Jambalaya was really good. Little on the mild side. Was hoping for more kick. Corn bread was sub par for my taste. Overall will eat there again.

Ordered catfish with red beans and rice, collards and muffins. The catfish was good but they didn't give me any beans with the rice. ? No beans at all... I called numerous times but no one ever picks up and the voicemail is full. Would not recommend.

This was possibly the tastiest Po' Bou i have ever had. Bread was great, shrimp was delicious, and the sauce was perfect. $10.50 was a fair price for a filling sandwich!

Found this place cruising down The Mile The other day.. the Chicken Po'Boy was pretty good, I really enjoyed it.. but the macaroni side left a lot to be desired.. I didn't really want a mac and cheese side, but they don't serve fries. The sides menu should be expanded.. add Cajun style fries and mashed potatoes.. plus the options to deep fry the chicken on the Po'Boy and I'd frequent this place often.

Service was good the lady was nice and welcoming. This food is god awful. First off the Mac n cheese is soggy, no seasoning, the cheese tastes off. The red beans and sausage tasted better in its sample size. It's just 50 pounds of sausage thrown in a bowl with a spoon full of rice. The catfish had NO seasoning at all. Me putting hot sauce on it made it even eatable. It was quite literally bread crumbs fried onto catfish. Oh yeah and also the Mac n cheese is still garbage. Nothing can convince me to eat this. I would rather starve to death than ever lay my eyes on this concoction
