The Lufthansa Lounge in Detroit is distinctly average and doesn’t quite live up to expectations for an international carrier’s premium lounge.

The food selection is limited and rather mediocre, lacking the quality and variety you’d hope for. While the drink selection is decent, with a reasonable range of wines and spirits, nothing really stands out.

The lounge itself is modern. Seating is adequate, with a mix of areas for relaxing and dining, but the overall design doesn’t make much of an impression.

One of the biggest drawbacks is the WiFi, which is frustratingly unstable and unreliable, making it difficult to get work done or even browse comfortably. The restroom situation is also disappointing: only single-person bathrooms on each side of the lounge, which can lead to waits, and cleanliness often leaves much to be desired. There are no showers, and the facilities feel dated and poorly maintained.

Overall, this lounge is a slight step up from waiting at the gate, but only just. If you’re hoping for a premium pre-flight experience, you’ll likely be underwhelmed. Improvements to food quality, restroom cleanliness, and WiFi reliability would make a big difference.

In terms of dedicated airline lounges, it's very average 3/10. In terms of Lufthansa lounges it's a 1/10 the red headed step child of that family. In terms of priority pass lounges is a 4/10.

It's got outlets that work, a small washroom, decent furniture, very small food selection, and it's not very clean. It's totally overwhelmed by taking priority pass, and I think it wasn't designed or staffed with that in mind.

It's great that there is at least this one lounge available in the tiny regional airport dtw.

Priority pass has a partnership but they still wouldn’t let me in. I peeked in and there were about 4 people total in the lounge.

Had to ask for the manager despite showing the lounge staff that Mastercard / LoungeKey users were entitled to use the lounge. One member of staff was adamant I wasn’t entitled and then asked did I want his manager - who when I said yes and spoke to him said yes the LoungeKey does have privileges. Suggest that staff are trained or advised on what grants you access. Despite that there was plenty of room, it was quiet, clean and the food was decent. Will use again if in the airport on business.

Food was of poor quality and not many options. Alcohol was self serve but had good selections. Lounge itself was decent. Overall not very impress with this lounge it feels tired and outdated.

Nice quiet place to wait for departure. The food is not bad...just not many choices.
I am a priority pass member through my American Express Platinum card...I am flying Spirit today.

if there is 0 star, I will give that. Pictures can tell you why!

I never leave bad reviews as I like to focus on the positive, but this was the most grim airport lounge. Staff looked so depressed. No matter how bright I was and saying thank you repeatedly and smiling at them there was zero eye contact or response. No forks for the 2hrs I was there. Had to eat cooked breakfast with a spoon. Hot food trays were empty for the bulk of the time I was there and when they finally got filled everyone rushed over to be greeted by a dry sausage pattie and bland omelette. Bagels were stale and hard as a rock.Tables were dirty as no one was cleaning them. You'd be better off to buy at a Cafe. Not even the alcohol is worth the entry fee or using a lounge pass for.

DTW is a lounge desert. Amex? Nothing. Priority Pass? Blacked out and useless. Thank goodness for Lufthansa Lounge recognizing United Club members! Had zero issues checking myself and 18 year old child traveling with me. We spent 2 hours here and found some of the best service, best food, best drinks and best amenities I've ever experienced in my years of travel. Not a big lounge, but professional, quiet, and most accommodating.

Located at the very end of the terminal, a long walk from security. Only to get there and find out that they have a blackout period for anybody not traveling on Lufthansa flight 443. We walked in with our kids, to find an empty lounge and turned back bybthe front staff. it may be a good lounge, but should be taken off the Priority Pass listing because of discriminatory treatment. either be a part of the program or don’t. Priority Pass needs to do a better job at informing its subscribers/clients of such instances. I have traveled world over, but never ever seen a “blackout time“ for Priority Pass members.

As others have said, due to blackout periods, it’s unusable for priority pass, it really shouldnt even be listed then.

The lounge is a very nice looking. Staff continuously going around cleaning. The coffee machine made very good coffee. Alcohol selection was also very nice. However, the food selection was lack luster. They called it continental.... up for debate. Presentation was okay does not meet the standards of other lounges.

Doesnt honor priority pass.

Don't even try if you have priority pass you are not a priority. What a joke.

The front desk staff was very abrupt to point you to blackout time if you are not flying Lufthansa. In such case, you should end your partnership with Priority Pass network. This is clear discrimination and this policy should be reevaluated.
