After sitting at the bar, I wait more than 20 minutes to receive the menu, and a glass of water, the person in charge of being a hoster. If I didn't remind her what I needed, maybe they wouldn't even have realised the time I was waiting, so I had to go to the entrance again. Finally I went to a table where I had to order the menu again. That point it’s hard to enjoy the food.

Get the salmon, its amazing. Atmosphere is beautiful, especially around the holidays. Rose remembered us from our last visit, and took great care of us. Skylar was our waitress and she didnt miss a beat. They made our experience wonderful and thats why we will be back with our friends visiting from NYC in two weeks. We want to show them that Detroit is just as festive.

3/4 entrees ordered were not good at all. Really not worth the money at all, completely overpriced.

The restaurant was just as it was advertised on social media. We reserved a private chalet and it enhanced our dining experience. The appetizers, the wine and the entrees were delicious. We even left room for dessert! Initially the chalet wasn't as warm as we'd like it to be. After informing the staff, they worked to get it nice and toasty!! Our server was quite attentive and we didn't have to wait long for the entrees. This was a pleasant dining experience for us.

A very nice place for great food and a picturesque view of the nearby park and during warmer weather a rooftop view of the city.

We came to Lumen after leaving another restaurant across the street where our experience wasn’t great. It was a special occasion, and we just wanted to enjoy the evening — and thankfully, Lumen delivered in every way.
Alexis and Rose at the host stand were so kind and accommodating, helping us find a table even without a reservation. They set us up in one of their outdoor igloo-style dining spaces, which were beautifully lit, heated, and felt so cozy — truly the perfect setup.
Our server was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the lamb chops, shrimp pasta, truffle fries, soup, and crab cakes — everything was delicious and well-presented.
From start to finish, the service was exceptional, the food was great, and the atmosphere made the night feel special again. So glad we ended up here — it turned what could’ve been a disappointing evening into a really memorable one.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! I’ve been in the bar & restaurant industry for 15 years and this is a well oiled machine. Management should pat themselves on the back for being efficient and involved in the operations entirely! The bartenders were great, but one stuck out the most. Nelly was on fire! She slings drinks with love and you can see it from anywhere you sit. We will definitely be back! We tried the crab cakes (10/10), I had bistro steak special (10/10, FLAVORFUL & large portioned), and the halibut (10/10). So glad this was our choice while in town for the night.

My wife and I visited Lumen for a quick brunch before the Detroit Lions game.

The food was absolutely amazing. we had zero complaints! We ordered the French toast, shrimp & grits, and huevos rancheros, and ate every single bite. We also each had a drink (a beer and a cocktail), which was the perfect way to start the day.

We were greeted right away by our server, Skylar, who did an excellent job explaining the menu, sharing her favorite items, and making us feel welcome. She was friendly, attentive, and very timely with all our requests.

My only small critique is that the floor was still wet from mopping (I assume), and there weren’t any “wet floor” signs visible.

Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish and we’ll definitely be back!
