First time today. I mentioned to server that I wanted to stop by the day before it was just too crowded. I said to myself I'll try it today. I couldmt resist having a taste of my dessert before I actually picked up my lunch. The server showed me the strawberry slice.I was torn between a few choices. I decided on the original which was the Lemon Butta cheesecake slice. It was very good. The consistency was there and full of flavor. I'll be back to try another slice in strawberry cheesecake or maybe in red velvet. There was peanut butter and Oreo too among other selections.

I’ve been a been a fan of the lemon butta pie for years(it’s the only pie I eat. I’ve never been a pie fan). I especially LOVE the crust and the filling to crust ratio was well. I’ve introduced the pies to many people. A few days I went in for a slice. I was severely disappointed. The pie was more firm than ever and it was bland. The crust was thinner than it used to be, not my personal preference, but hey can’t please everyone. I kept looking at it inspected wondering if was given the wrong item. I saw a few pieces of lemon zest so that ensured me that it was a lemon butta slice. Yet I barley tasted any lemon and it lacked the level of creaminess I was familiar with as if maybe there was too much egg(assuming that might be an ingredient). I tossed it out. The only good was that I was spared the unnecessary calories. I don’t know if it was a bad pie or the recipe changed. My mouth had been watering for several months for the pie. I a bit hesitant return for a while, especially for what they cost.***UPDATE: In response to Lush Yummies response to me. I would’ve reached out, though to be honest I was disturbed with the owners dry greeting when I came in. Your employee was much more pleasant. I was pleasant and happy to make it in and get a some of pie the that I’ve missed for months. The dryness didn’t sit well with me as I told a friend when I returned to work. I even sense a bit of that unpleasantness in your response. No one owes it to you to let you know besides. During your sudden absence at Eastern mkt.I’ve called / text and messaged many times in the past to inquire about purchasing or if you were still in business and no response. I wouldn’t have expected a response. Therefore I felt I wouldn’t return though still purchase your pies from Westborn as I have done.I hope that answers your question as to why I didn’t reach out regarding my dissatisfaction.

I walked into this shop knowing nothing about it but had a really nice chat with the woman working behind the counter (I think she might've been the owner?).I opted for a slice the Snickers Lemon Butter Pie, and it was out of this world good. The slices are huge, so I was able to share it with my husband and still have some leftover for the next day. I'm so glad they're in Ferndale!

Delicious.Sweet.Scrumptious.I got this for a birthday and it was so good that everyone took a slice home.We got the Lemon Butter Pie. I believe this is the award-winning pie and the pie that Oprah Loves.If tried a ton of trending things and this Lemon Butter Pie is definitely worth ALL the hype. :)Other notes:Easy online ordering.Great staff.Easy to access store location right off of Woodward.Street Parking in front of the store.The store has a beautiful exterior and interior of the store.I can't wait to visit again.

I loved the lemon butta pie but the apple pie was not good at all. I took both to an event thinking that people would like them both and ended up getting terrible reviews from the apple. It’s like it wasn’t cooked or something. No one liked it so it wasn’t a good feeling to know I brought it to the party. ?

Hi. After experiencing one of your lemon pies I sent one to california for my best friends Birthday several years ago. Who still sings praises to this day. Fast forward to pre Thanksgiving pop up I sent a co worker down to get 6 pies you were waiting on her as she was trying to decide what flavors she wanted,you decided to turn your attention toward a white gentleman who entered and without excusing yourself to her you continued and finished the man while she was standing there Im sure looking bewildered. There was other workers standing around who could have taken over but did nothing but stand there amongst themselves and after a while she decided her money was unwanted. Which means for you to sell one pie while losing the sell of many more. I am so sure that you sold out because they are just that good. But It left us with quite a bad taste in our mouths and feeling really rejected and discriminated against. Being a black woman entrepreneur I do hope you will take this experience and use it to NEVER treat another patron like this again.
