I visited here over the summer and the New York style pizza was so damn good. I really liked the atmosphere of this and it's unique design. I just read that the owner plans on moving and it's very disappointing to hear. The look of this place is so distinctive and somehow eccentric but still keeping an old style charm. The little supermarket section was so cool. I'm not sure if the ice cream store attached is the same owner or not. So, I will be disappointed...

Visited Metropolitan Pizza while out for a walk in West Village and I’m glad I stopped in. They serve slices, which I really appreciate since most places don’t. I tried a square slice with pepperoni and hot honey and it was excellent, just the right balance of sweet and heat, and full of flavor. I also had a round slice with banana peppers and mushrooms, which was tasty but the square definitely stood out as my favorite.
