Crappy food. Was not going to leave a rating or comment on our horrible experience, but the owner wanted to throw cheap shots at other comments, not caring about guest experiences. Cheap shots talking something about the ‘burbs’. Yeah, we from Detroit… so I don’t know what that was about. We work in professional kitchens, from fine dining to casual. So we know what’s expected from the front of the house to the back of the house in a restaurant, and understanding how hard it is sometimes to run a smooth service. None of that was really needed to say… but with the lack of professionalism and accountability from the owner’s comment on the google review, shows what kind of experience you may get, with the list of things that went wrong, from bad customer service to mediocre food. We were so excited to come here, reviews sounded good. Social media post looked great. We were so impressed walking in, it was beautiful, we couldn’t wait to eat. Host or server was not attentive from the start… which was probably a bad sign already. Yes, we only got 2 menus for our table of 8. There were plenty of menus right next to us, but it was by their register so we didn’t want to grab anything from their work station. Got our waters, but that was the only time. We never got a refill even though I needed more water. We had to flag them for everything else. Ordered. Some food came out. Some food never came. Wrong food was ordered, and they were out of the actual food that was needed. So they gave the wrong food ordered for free. We had to flag someone down for the missing food. That would take forever anyways, so it was put in a carry out. They never came back to give us a check, we had to flag someone down for that. Had to flag them down to take the wrong food ordered off the bill. They never came back for the payment, so I had to flag them down for that. This was the worst Indian food experience I had, but the prettiest Indian restuarant I’ve been in though. Everything was off in most of our dishes, it was unbalanced, one of the sauce was bitter, or rancid, rice was undercook to list some of the bad.

Horrible experience!! We had a party of 8 and were told there was a 20 minute wait when we got there. They walked away without letting us know if we needed to put our name on the list or anything so we just stood there trying to get their attention again. Fortunately they were able to seat us in less than 5 minutes. This is where it went horrible. They sat us down and only gave us two menus. We had to wait and shared the menu. Some of us looked at the menu online instead of waiting for the menu. We could've asked for a menu but we couldn't as we were ignored the entire time. When it came down to ordering, the waiter was half listening to us and half looking somewhere else being distracted by something. When we got our food, they gave us butter chicken when we ordered butter chicken wings so we informed them and they came back and told us they no longer have the wings but will give us the butter chicken with no charge. We were okay with that and then everyone on our table got their food except for two of us as we shared an order. When 15 mins or so passed we realized they might've forgotten our food. We flagged down another wait staff and she went to check on it. She came back to tell us it'll be about 5 mins or so, but 5 mins came and passed with nothing. Our entire table was done eating at this point, so we flagged down the waiter to let them know we haven't gotten our food and to see if we can just take it to go. After 15 mins we still didn't get anything and had to flag them down once again to ask for the food and the bill. The bill came and we were charged for the butter chicken that was supposed to be free. We had to inform them to take it off. We still had to wait to pay for the bill and we were sitting right in front of the register but was totally ignored the entire time!! We had to put our hands up so they noticed us. Never again. They had nice decor but that was about it. The food wasnt good also. Things were mushy when it should've been crispy. Overall it's just poor customer service and we had to wait for a long time for our food.

First of all, for an 8 person table, they only brought us two menus. Food took forever to arrive (30 mins) the staff did not check on us at all and we had to flag someone down every time we needed something. I ordered the goat biryani and it was difficult to eat. It had so many small hard bits (seasoning or uncooked rice?). A friend ordered butter chicken wings but they brought out butter chicken. We told them it was a wrong order and they replied that they no longer had butter chicken wings so we accepted the dish. It was disappointingly super salty. Our waiter always seemed preoccupied and the music was way too loud to hear someone across the table. Would not come back. The decor was beautiful though.

I would say 2.5 stars. The vibes of the place was cool, to stop in for a drink. Which I really enjoyed my drink.. the food was just okay. But the service was just not good. Felt like we really just didn’t have a waiter and had to track down a server in order to get anything we wanted. I had to ask for a cup of water, never got a refill. And to track them down to put our order in, had to track them down for a to go box…then had to track them down for the bill (which the bill took 30min to get to us). It’s like they forgot they were part of the staff or something. The food was decent, but I think my experience is just so overshadowed by the poor service that I couldn’t even enjoy it. I wanted to go back to try some other things (maybe I just got the wrong thing) but again…the service. We were there 2 and a half hours because of this. It was just two of us. The staff was pleasant, just extremely unattentive.

This was my first dining at Midnight Temple and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had the Hidden Temple Mezcal drink and it was perfect! The Butter Chicken Wings were a great way to start off our meal - If you enjoy spice then I would encourage you to get the hottest level! Then we had the chicken curry with garlic naan and the depth in flavor was really refreshing. 100% coming back! Shoutout to Elton and Morgan for taking care of us throughout the evening!

This is my favorite Indian food restaurant. Everything I have ate here has been amazing. Their ambiance is great as well the decorations are great very fun and unique. If you have yet to try this place I 100000% recommend it. All of the servers are wonderful as well very attentive.
